We've only been on two Viking cruises and i think we are done with this company. The ships to us are very basic and amenities provided during the cruise were really minimal. I would rate this company and mid-range and certainly not luxury level. Impossible to fault. Staff so helpful and unfailingly polite. Excellent varied programme, both on board and excursions well planned and led. Dining throughout cruise was of such a high standard and offered so much variety. Staff always prepared to go that extra mile. Spirit of the Rhine is nice small ship with only 180 or so passengers, mostly like minded and good company. We were nervous about the entertainment (after 65 ocean cruises) and I don't know if we were just lucky, but the local entertainers brought aboard were really excellent and the onboard Saga entertainers / cruise staff got other activities just about right.
