Influenced by friends who sailed in May 2022, we booked the Christmas on the Rhine cruise with Viking for our honeymoon, November 2023. We’re in our early 40s and had an absolutely amazing time on this trip! The average and median age on the cruise was definitely 20-25 years our senior, but please don’t feel like you must be retired to enjoy a trip with Viking. While I think we were the only ...
This was a 7 day river cruise with the option we chose to also stay 2 nights in Amsterdam at the Movenpick. When travelling with food allergies, this is the line to chose! The Maitre D' was on top of the situation at every single meal, and Viking always had delicious and inclusive options for those with allergies. The entire staff was friendly, professional, efficient, sometimes shockingly so! ...
This 7-day cruise was part of a 3-week India experience and definitely one of the highlights. Our group of 19 arrived at Jorhat airport and was transferred by vehicles to the ship at Neamati Ghat.
Cruising through the vast expanse of the Brahmaputra was wonderful, and I particularly enjoyed the emphasis on nature and wildlife. The safaris by boat, elephant and jeep through the Kaziranga ...
The cruise itself was phenomenal but the staff made it truly special. The crew members were extremely warm and kind. The attention to detail was spot on.
There were 3 restaurants on the Amamagna.
The food was delicious. There were plenty of options and it was good quality.
The app made it easy to keep track of our schedule and we also had a daily itinerary with the times delivered ...

Dear guest, on behalf of all of us at AmaWaterways, thank you so much for leaving such a wonderful review! We each take pride in our pursuits to provide an unforgettable experience for all...
Having lived in Germany for three years several years ago, we loved the Christmas season and markets. Our first Viking cruise was from Nuremberg to Budapest in 2019 - pre-COVID. We were so impressed that we decided to take another trip. The Christmas market trip was a "whim" trip so that we could visit and re-visit the Christmas markets. This time, we traveled from Budapest to Regensburg and ...
I have always wondered what the European Christmas Markets were like. This cruise allowed me to find out! My husband and I went on this cruise as a birthday present for me. This was our first Viking cruise but will not be the last.
We stayed two nights in Paris as part of the journey. Our first excursion included a bus tour of the city as well as free time at the Christmas Market. This Market ...
My wife had always wanted to visit the Christmas markets in Europe. This cruise fit the bill perfectly, as well as coinciding with our 45th anniversary. From the start, Viking took good care of us. Planning for the Air travel portion of the trip was handled well, with 1 on 1 interaction with the planners. Our plane was 4 hours late, but we were greeted as soon as we passed through passport ...
We've only been on two Viking cruises and i think we are done with this company. The ships to us are very basic and amenities provided during the cruise were really minimal. I would rate this company and mid-range and certainly not luxury level. I felt the port stops for Viking were extremely inconvenient and they would frequently provide misleading descriptions of walking distances such as ...
1. Bed is old and small, size like a car seat.
2. The food is terrible in the first three days, a lot of leave off. They cook the leftovers for lunch. Lol
3. A few days need to wake up at 4am, because they request to put the luggage out at 5:30am. Crazy!!!
4. Excursion (included), everyday is church and Christmas markets. Sometimes church is small, Christmas markets is small like only 5 ...
This was our Third Viking River cruise and our 6th viking cruise....It will be our last! We chose this cruise because we had done a Viking Christmas Market cruise before and we had a credit left over from covid that was due to expire. In retrospect, I should have let the credit expire! Evidently this was a fairly new itinerary and, for sure, one that Viking new nothing about. In at least two ...
