This is our 6th cruise with Azamara and we were somewhat concerned at how things would be on board after suffering through the booking process on the new, badly implemented and frankly appalling booking system.
First impressions are that the ship is looking a little tired with some areas needing a spruce up but overall these issues are not major.

Overall it was a good cruise . We really liked some things like our cabin. Disliked other things like the lunch buffet at La Veranda . And thought some items were so-so. Like the excursions. It starts with the ship’s modest size with only a few hundred passengers. We arrived at the port at 1:30 and were in our cabin 15 minutes later. We got one of the new midship cabins and were impressed by its roomy bathroom, especially the shower.

The ship has an elegant interior which is kept spotlessly clean. All passengers were greeted with a glass of champagne on embarkation which foreshadowed the great service for the whole cruise. There were 591 on this cruise (ship accommodates about 675) with a crew of about 400. This is considered an upscale line and ship and it is. The ship and crew did a fine job. We had not been to South America prior to this sailing. Cruise was lovely and relaxing. We went in three days earlier to visit Buenos Aires. Beautiful city and lots of cultural things to do. Some of the smaller ports were very interesting we liked Buzios.
