Excellent cruise. Food and service back on top!

Review for a Asia Cruise on Riviera

Wonderful cruise around Japan on Riviera. The redone ship is beautiful. The redone cabin and bathroom are top notch with tons of storage! I had empty drawers in both my room and in the bathroom. The new shower is far superior to the old bathtub. The food was overall excellent as was the service. The destination team had their act together on this one with enough staff to handle guests. They ...

Seabourn Wins!!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

We’ve spent the last year “comparing” luxury cruise lines, sailing in the Retreat on Celebrity several times (including the maiden voyage of the new Ascent) and testing out Regent’s brand new Seven Seas Grandeur . . . While we enjoyed them all, we believe our 2 voyages on Seabourn Ovation to be significantly better in almost every respect. The Ovation, launched in 2018, was the “oldest ship” we’ve ...

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Sirena

This is my review of the Oceania cruise on the Sirena ship from Miami to the Canary Islands that lasted 2 weeks from 27 March to 10 April 2024. The food for all 3 meals plus afternoon tea, service, both cabin, reception and dining, and entertainment were excellent. In particular, the cruise director, Leslie Howard, was fantastic. The ship was in great shape; it was very well maintained. It ...

A Great Regent Cruise -- Returning in August

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

Debated whether it was a 4* or a 5. Lets say 4.5 and round it up. Itinerary was Tokyo to Tokyo with stops in Japan, Korea and China. Pre Cruise (included) - We did our own air and transfers. Added 2 days on our own to the hotel @ $450 a night. The pre cruise tours were organized by Destinations Asia and had an American in the front doing all the managing and announcements. Worked well ...

First Viking Ocean Voyage

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Viking Star

My trip on the Viking Star was fabulous and exceeded my expectations. The food in the World Cafe was exceptional and we ate there for dinner for 6 of our 14 nights. We also dined at Manfredi's and the Italian food was very good. However, the real gem is the Chef's Table--gourmet dining at its best! It's a 5 course dinner with 4 wine pairings. You sit back and enjoy the food experience as ...

Stellar 14-Night Atlantic Crossing!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Viking Star

I'm a seasoned cruise afficionado, and I can't sing high enough praises about Viking, the staff, the crew, the food, the entertainment, the lectures, the amenities, the activities, and the overall experience. I have never been more impressed with the design of a ship, the ambiance, the level of service, and the variety in cuisine that we experienced on the Star. Our cabin was more spacious and ...

Superb Experience

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

Top class in almost every respect. Our second Seabourn cruise and this one for 14 days. Public spaces still look classy ( perhaps not the Club which is dark) but our 5th deck cabin's carpet is looking past its best. It was kept immaculately. We could not fault food or service standards. Breakfast is a repeat affair but there's plenty of choice. We really enjoyed Earth and Ocean for dinner. Solis ...

Excellent Transatlantic Cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Azamara Quest

Excellent cruise from Rio to Lisbon. Very friendly staff. Atmosphere is upscale-casual: Few men wore sport jackets at any time. Ship was about 3/4 full, with almost all passengers being in their fifties and up. There were no children. Large mix of nationalities (US, UK, Canada, Australia, etc.). It got a bit rocky towards the end of the cruise and the captain chose to skip the Madeira port of ...

Great Arctic Adventure

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Viking Venus

We went in search of the Northern Lights, which we saw briefly, but discovered so many magical worlds. Before embarking on a Northern Lights cruise you need to understand the reality of searching for the Northern Lights (it’s not like social media would lead you to believe) and adjust your expectations. Still, the hunt is exciting and completely worth it. You’d be hard pressed to do better than ...

Best cruise line for us

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Venus

I was very impressed with your superior service and staff. The food was outstanding and alway felt it was fresh. The best place to eat was The Restaurant. They also had the best and friendliest staff. I was greeted with a smile and even excellent recall of my favorites! I was not impressed with Italian restaurant service. The staff we encountered at our meal was difficult to understand. She was ...
