The ship was gorgeous! Obviously one of the cabin designers was a woman because there were more drawers and closet space than on any other ship I've been on( and I have been on 25+ cruises)! Heated bathroom floor, two sinks, heated towel rack....Viking spares no expense with luxuries! Thermal pool and spa services were fabulous!
We ate at Manfredi's, The Restaurant and the World Cafe for ...
We chose this cruise as a replacement for a COVID-cancelled French river cruise. Making the reservations two years in advance, we were hedging our bets about a cruise to which we could actually drive if we had to.
The Octanis is a lovely boat. The Viking staff is superb, professional and warm. We had a plumbing problem late at night and it was fixed within minutes with a minimum of disruption. ...
I chose this cruise to visit many places that were new to me. The ship facilities and crew were very nice. The food and wines were delicious and varied. I enjoyed dining at the specialty restaurants also.
My biggest disappointment was lack of free time to shop after included tours. Because of the distance between the port and city downtown area ( in many ports), it was difficult to get ...
We chose this cruise to celebrate my 60th birthday. This was our first cruise together and my first one in 20 years, so we weren't sure what to expect. We had an Explorer Suite at the the front of the ship. It was spacious and beautiful - as nice as any 5-star resort anywhere. The bathroom was incredible - heated floors, double sinks, a full bath and separate shower enclosed in glass, creating a ...
We traveled on the last 2022 Niagara and the Great Lakes expedition with Viking. We've always wanted to tour the Great Lakes and thought this was the way to go. This is our fourth cruise with Viking but the first time we’ve sent a review.
Except for two events, this cruise was what we expected from Viking. The staff and crew went all out to make sure we had a great time. Our room looked like ...
This cruise left out of Bergen Norway, to the Norwegian Fjords, Oslo, Denmark, and ending in Amsterdam. We ended up not being able to stop in Denmark because of high winds, so they headed to Amsterdam, and we got two days there instead.
We chose Viking Ocean initially because we had heard such great things about them, and we prefer a smaller ship with less passengers. They are more ...
Having sailed with a number of cruise lines, my husband and I prefer the serenity, dignity, and quality offered by Viking.
Two months prior to this September 2022 cruise we had taken a family cruise with Royal Caribbean, and the differences between RC and Viking were stark. The Royal Caribbean cruise, while fun for the younger crowd in our group, was loud, frenetic and boisterous, and the ...
We'd been hoping to see the Great Lakes area and had looked at many cruise possibilities. Viking's was the only one whose itinerary focused on the natural areas, and offered hiking and kayaking and other such options, which was what we wanted.
We'd been on a Viking river cruise, and were so impressed by the quality of the ship -- accommodations, very attentive staff, delicious food -- and this ...
We chose this cruise to get a better feeling for Scandinavia. We were disappointed that our time in Oslo was reduced and Gothenburg was introduced. We wished there were fewer ports and more time in the ports.
We felt the included tours were very rushed and often difficult for anyone older or mobility challenged. Viking used to offer an easy level.
As always the food on the ship and the ...
We chose this cruise because we heard great things about Viking and wanted a non-Alaska US cruise. We greatly enjoyed the experience. The ship was fabulous and a great size. Our accommodations were very comfortable. The crew was the highlight of the trip, from the great care our room steward gave us, the fabulous chefs and wait staff, the experts on board, and the captain and his staff. ...
