After much consideration of the challenges that may get in our way (e.g. Omicron surge, testing requirements, masking, airline restrictions), we are so glad that we took this cruise and it lived up to our expectations. My husband and I, along with our adult son and his girlfriend booked this cruise last summer when Viking was offering deals upon reopening the World, we were looking for a holiday ...
We choose this cruise because our country (the Netherlands) were in lockdown and the Canary Island not. And because we had heard that Azamara has a high standard of cruising. And indeed they have. We were pampered all the way with an excellent service, very good food, a cozy atmosphere and easy contacts with fellow passengers.
We were lucky to have only 231 passengers on board (instead of the ...

Most people think Galapagos is a once in a life time adventure. We actually went twice. My extended family of 20 people went to the Galapagos (again) in December of 2021. This time we were lucky enough to get a trip on the Evolution with Quasar.
Honestly, I did not think our trip could get better than last time, but it did. This boat is awesome, but the staff was above and beyond. We were ...
It was a bucket list item for us. It was postponed the year before. Even though the majority of the Asian ports were closed and our itinerary was vastly changed it was still the experience we wanted. The staff, food, excursions, and entertainment were excellent and the included silver plan was perfect. The weather was very cooperative and sailing unusually smooth. The ship was amazing as there ...
As with every aspect of traveling with Viking, great care is given to every aspect of passenger comfort and enjoyment. Departing on Christmas Eve was particularly enjoyable with caroling and holiday cheer in the Atrium. The New Year's Eve celebration was wonderful with lots of music and champagne. Of course, throughout our journey, the food was excellent and varied so that you always looked ...
We took the 2017-18 Inaugural World Cruise and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. The ship, the tours, the sea days, the crew, the passengers. (Okay, most of the passengers; some of them didn’t care for me either. But it didn’t ruin my adventures.)
This promised creative cruising as the world was changed. We knew ports could change and embraced it. We saw places we never imagined and visited ...
We have cruised with Cunard once before, this would be our first time on Queen Elizerbeth, and our first Christmas and New Year cruise. Because of Covid the ship was only half full and (vaccinated) adults only. It was fourteen nights in duration, and calling at Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Madeira and La Coruna. All these places we have visited many times before, this meant ...
We decided to take it as we usually spend the holidays all by ourselves as our children have families of their own. Two dear friends were with us. Starting in Athens, we wound our way around the northern mediterranean seeing many great new sights. Ending in Barcelona, which was a treat, so much to see.
We already have a similar voyage this summer, going out of Venice, then around the islands ...
This wonderful Viking cruise was over Christmas and New Year's. We began by sailing down the west coast of Italy down the Amalfi coast to Sicily. The people on the Sky were wonderful. The ship was decorated beautifully with Christmas trees, gingerbread houses, sparkling lights and all. Then we sailed to Greek islands and Athens and Ephesus and Turkish delights. It was a trip of a lifetime. My ...
