When the catalog arrived at our house introducing the Viking Expedition Cruises, we eagerly read it from cover to cover and immediately scheduled an appointment with our travel agent to book our trip. Having previously experienced Viking Ocean and Viking River Cruises, we knew how Viking pays attention to detail and curates experiences that their guests can enjoy; they truly do allow you to ...

A VERY ENJOYABLE CRUISE

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

Have cruised many times but this was our first cruise on a Cunard ship. Arrived at Southampton docks - testing very quick - results very quick but car-park drop off area busy. Welcome greeting as we stepped onto the ship and given directions to our balcony cabin - very good and roomy. All meals good. We had breakfast in the Buffet which was a one way system with food served onto our plates ...

Great return to cruising

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Seabourn Odyssey

User Avatar

We have had a great Covid free vacation thanks to Seabourn and their focus on their customers and staff. Although the ship was half full, all restaurants and entertainment were in full swing. We were able to go to all ports and enjoy ourselves in spite of all the protocols. The staff on board were excellent and genuinely happy to be cruising again. Favorite excursions were sailing in Saint Maarten ...

Mediterranean cruise 2 weeks Athens to Barcelona

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Viking Sky

This was a "just coming out" of Covid cruise, so some this will not apply in other cases. I'll not comment further on the Covid effects other than to say there was some passenger frustration at the lack of shopping time. Usually this was directed at the excursion guide, most whom where directed to secure the group. We got in late, but a snack and wine were waiting for us, and a full dinner ...

Antarctic Excellence

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on L'Austral

Ponant was our second choice because our first line rerouted the ship we originally wanted because of the pandemic. Ponant was highly recommended and it proved itself to us. Covid took our first choice with Ponant, the Le Lyrial out of the running because of covid, but they had several ships running the Antarctic route and fit us on the Austral for the next day. L'Austral was captained by an ...

Cruise unfortunately cut short

Review for a South America Cruise on Viking Jupiter

User Avatar

We wanted to see more of South America. The cruise was originally supposed to start in Buenos Aires, but at the last minute Argentina did not allow the ship to dock there. The cruise instead started and ended in Valparaiso, Chile. We considered cancelling, but then decided to go. We were further put off by the puzzling over-the-top COVID restrictions of the Chilean authorities. Many passengers were ...

I have traveled on Viking previously and love this cruise line! Our trip was spectacular and the excursions were so interesting! I especially enjoyed seeing David, Florence, Villa Rothchild, Pompeii, Croatia and Tuscany! All the other excursions were spectacular as well but these were the highlights for me. All of the guides were excellent. The ship was full of eager employees whose only ...

Our first and most memorable Viking Ocean Cruise

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Venus

User Avatar

2-5 Cruises • Age 70s

We chose this cruise because of the excursions that were offered, and because Viking had postponed our planned 2021 Homelands cruise due to Covid and we were getting really antsy to sail. We are SO glad we did! The ship was only about half full, as cruising was just getting underway after being shut down for 2 years. That made it feel almost like a private cruise! We had daily testing and mask ...

Great Experience

We had taken several Viking river cruises and were eager to try their ocean cruise. We were not disappointed! The service, food, excursions, exercise equipment, spa, and entertainment were all topnotch. The captain and crew did all they could to keep us safe during Covid and extremely bad weather. The crew always greeted us with smiles and made us feel at home. Many even knew our names by the ...

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Viking Venus

Bucket list destination. Have cruised with Viking 7 times, and this may be the best. Their ships are second to none… only 950 guests and no children under 18. The food, cabins, and amenities are top notch. We were blessed with really good weather and saw brilliant Aurora on 3 nights. The included excursions were wonderful. We took an optional overnight excursion to a dog sled facility which ...
