We had decided to join our friends on this cruise however we had not done our homework and the weather was brutally hot. Of course Viking can’t control the environment but it certainly would be a key factor if we decided to go again in that time slot. We enjoyed the amenities and service on the ship especially High Tea. It would have been nice to have tours that we’re a bit longer at each stop ...
Fellow passengers were very friendly and the staff catered to our every need as if we were the only ones on the boat. The tours were run amazingly well considering the combined logistics of boats buses and hydrofoils connecting with each other seamlessly. There was little waiting or downtime. The tour guides were energetic entertaining and informative. They knew their stuff and enjoyed ...
My wife and I were anxious to try the much touted Viking Ocean. We booked a one week Rome to Barcelona cruise with a three-day pre-cruise Umbria extension. We made our own flight arrangements in order to assure only direct flights to and from. We were, however, obligated to arrive on the day our extension began. Would have preferred to arrive a day or two earlier and meet the Viking guides at the ...
Loved the itinerary, time of year and especially going to St. Petersburg. Wanted to go to Stockholm which was our departure city. Returning through Copenhagen also was a treat. Was there before. The shows performed on the ship were excellent; the performers were very talented. It was great that there was an Abba show in Stockholm. Lectures were most informing with a very knowledgeable ...
We chose this cruise to try out Viking Ocean cruises. It was a very nice experience! Low key luxury & excellent service!
We chose a penthouse veranda for the extra space. It was super nice! This was a port-intensive cruise - Livorno, Monte Carlo, Marseille & Barcelona - so no sea days. But we still managed to use the pool, gym & restaurants. All good except Chef’s Table - we didn’t care for ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to sail the Baltic and visit primarily St. Petersburg. We had been on 3 prior Viking River Cruises and weren't sure that we would like an ocean cruise with more passengers. But we were surprised at how intimate the 900+ passenger ship felt. The ship is truly beautiful, offering many amenities. We made lots of new friends, thoroughly enjoyed each port ...
This was a 25th wedding anniversary cruise. The boat was amazing. Room was a wonderful size. We had a deluxe veranda. The food was 5 star quality and was absolutely delicious. No need to eat off the boat. The meals served were from the region we were visiting - and did I mention they were outstanding!
The excursions were good. I would choose differently on some of them now that I have ...
WE decided on this ship because we wanted something not too big and not too small. WE were 3 people cruising as they has the buy 2 get one child free. It was my mom and my 13 year old daughter.
We chose a veranda suite concierge level. At first we thought the cabin was small, but grew to love it. Amenities were fine, towels and linens fabulous, and the veranda perfect.
The crew was amazing! ...
We booked Ponant without ever having sailed with this cruise line. Overall, I would rate as very good for the value. The accommodations were comfortable, Hermes products, comfy beds and linen. Small but efficient pool area. Bars were generally comfortable and service was nice but they did run out of simple things for a couple of days like bloody mary mix and cranberry juice. That seemed ...
Chose the cruise based on the itinerary and comments from our cruise company that Azamara was really good! It was excellent! Smaller ship with 690 people and very much adult focused which we loved, room was great - bed super comfortable and kept neat and tidy and clean always. Common areas including The Living Riom and Thw Den we’re so inviting and warm. Really enjoyed them. Pool was perfect ...
