We have just returned on the QM2 two-way transatlantic. It was brilliant.
I had read negative reviews, but should have just kept an open mind.
Perfect, not, but as good as... and life is too short to get too concerned.
If something is wrong, bring it up so it can be resolved there and then.
The stateroom was great, lots of storage space etc., a fridge was a bonus, lovely food ...
Just back from a 2 way transatlantic voyage on QM2. We had been upgraded from deck 5 with a sheltered balcony to deck 11 with a full balcony, which was nice, but unfortunately with inclement weather we got little use. The weather on the way to New York was fine but cold and very windy and on the return was stormy for most of the way till our last day sailing.
I enjoyed our cruise, however it ...
We chose Pearl Seas because its Great Lakes Itinerary had more Canadian ports than other cruise lines. We sailed 11 nights from Toronto to Milwaukee. But buyer beware! The cabins do not at all look like the photos in their online brochure.
Carpets and furnishings were faded and worn and very dated in style. The first night on board, our room heating system didn't work. Drawers were so ...
This was our 4th try at a Viking cruise due to previous cancellations during COVID. We have taken their river cruise on the Seine and decided to try the Mediterranean ocean cruise. We booked our air through Viking and were scheduled on Delta. Unfortunately Delta cancelled the JFK to Rome flight the day of, and we were unable to reach Rome on time to embark the ship, a Viking agent helpfully ...
We have been avid Viking cruise folks for quite some time, and things used to be absolutely spectacular, some of the best experiences we have had while traveling, and all of this was before the pandemic, before COVID, before lockdowns, and before present days experiences, shortages, and non-functionality, and I feel like Viking has certainly suffered, in a rough way, due to this.
There are ...
Thank you for sharing this detailed feedback, BreezewayProductions. We're pleased to learn your onboard dining and service left a memorable impression, and appreciate you taking the time to...
This was a cruise of the Greek isles out of Athens. There were just 99 passengers on this cruise which meant you got to know just about everyone. There was one major problem during the cruise with most of the culinary staff testing positive for Covid the second day of the cruise. The restaurant were closed for the remainder of the cruise with a buffet set up and served in the main lobby of the ...
We especially enjoyed the tour of Mackinac Island by horse drawn carriages with lunch at the beautiful old Grand Hotel. Other tours were nice, but this was a highlight for us.
Everyone on the staff was outstanding with exceptional service and kindness.
The expedition ship was amazing with all of its "toys", along with informative lectures about the Great Lakes.
This is a different ...
We tried to book a cruise around 6 weeks out and managed to reserve guaranteed suite but flights were not available to book. This was supposedly linked to the move of embarkation from Venice to Ravenna. (didn’t Venice ban cruise ships from 1st August 2021? Why was this a surprise 9 months later?) After another week and calls to Seabourn and TA we were advised that flights could now be booked but ...
Our first pandemic-era cruise. We have numerous past cruises with Seabourn, and this cruise experience ranks at the bottom.
First, why would a complete novice stewardess, someone who had four days of experience under her belt, be assigned to service a Penthouse Suite? Should not you most experienced personnel take care of your higher-paying guests? Bad enough we had to participate in her ...
We chose this cruise as the itinerary included a stop close to Monte Carlo for the Grand Prix. The original itinerary was mooring at nearby Villefranche sur Mer but this was changed to Monaco where we tendered ashore for the race.
We had a balcony cabin which was nicely furnished and had UBS ports.
Masks were advised and the staff always wore them. The cruise was at the end of the period of ...
