I chose this cruise because it went to several countries in the northern part of Europe- new places for my husband and me. From the time they pick you up at the airport to the time that they drop you off at the next airport (at the end of the cruise), they are working to make it the best trip ever. Unlike some other cruise lines, there is a free excursion included at every stop, along with other ...
We wanted to sail on a Viking ocean cruise and to see St. Petersburg. With all that has happened in the world, we were not able to go to St. Petersburg, but Viking gave good alternatives and made the trip fun.
Everything was excellent--food, service, crew, entertainment, cabins, common areas, excursions, wines. Viking thinks of everything.
One excursion per stop is included in the cost; ...
Viking Octanis was a fantastic cruise on a beautiful ship. The Viking team was among the best crew in over 50 cruises. The Submarine voyage lived up to my wildest expectations. We stayed in the Explorer suite, which was very spacious.
The food and beverage manager took personal care of us in more ways than expected. On the final night, we threw a party, and he arranged for a unique dessert that ...
We have been on 5 Viking cruise now and absolutely loved Viking Saturn and our 23 day trip. We extended in Iceland on the front end and extra days in Bergen and Oslo at the church of the cruise. The level of service and overall quality of our experience with Viking was excellent! The ports visited, the guides, the ship amenities and staff well exceeded our expectations.
The ship was beautiful ...
We chose this cruise because we had always wanted to go to the British Isles, especially London and because once we sailed on Viking, we aren't interested in sailing other lines. The Venus was beautiful, elegant but not gaudy and the food and on-board services were excellent, as we have always experienced. We did miss one port, in Scotland, due to weather but since we had numerous Scottish ...
The best part of the trip was the ship Venus. I enjoyed all of the restaurants, opportunities for ship activities, and especially the very friendly staff. The food was excellent, the live shows were entertaining, and the staff continued to impress me with their attention to details in keeping me happy. The ship was kept very clean all the time. I felt very safe on board the ship. Our fellow ...
As an expat we visit the UK most years and my wife, American, wanted to see Scotland and its islands. I was not bothered however this cruise ticked all the boxes. My wife woke up one morning as we approached Ullapool (Scotland) and felt ill. We have tests with us and she was positive for covid. As we were concerned for the crew that tend to our suite, we informed the ship. Wrong move! Rather than ...

This was our first time on a Viking cruise and we were not disappointed at all. It was close to as perfect as one could get. The reason why we picked Viking was that my wife and I will be retiring soon-ish and we love to seek out new places to go. I did a lot of research on mid-size to smaller ships, upper end, itineraries, read reviews, etc. And we thought we would try Viking. We were ...
Viking was the best cruise for my wife and I. My wife and I lead very busy professional and personal lives. Viking was the PERFECT cruise for us. There were no screaming kids, no casinos, no loud pounding music. It was quiet and relaxing, there was always somewhere you could go onboard where it was quiet (besides your cabin). Or if you wanted to interact with the other passengers, you could do ...
We always choose cruises for the itinerary and this one was no exception as it took us to the far north then through the Norwegian fjords and then over to the Shetlands and the Faroe Islands and then on to Iceland. Since we have sailed most of the Regent ships and only this Silversea ship, I plan to compare it to Navigator which is a similar size and age. Before we left, a friend noted that he ...
