The crew, and their effects on my experience.

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Carnival Freedom

We went on a cruise to the Dominican Republic and Grand Turk, and one of the best experiences was the crew, like they go above and beyond to the fullest extent to make sure I had the time of my life, there was 3,900 passengers aboard and they still remembered our names, and always asked how we was doing, if they can get us anything, I mean hands down the crew was spectacular, so hats off to ...

Met our heightened expectations

Review for a Asia Cruise on Azamara Journey

The ship has an elegant interior which is kept spotlessly clean. All passengers were greeted with a glass of champagne on embarkation which foreshadowed the great service for the whole cruise. Cabins were immediately available so after unpacking we went to the aft buffet for a snack. We were warmly greeted and treated to nice glasses of wine while admiring the view of Hong Kong in somewhat chilly ...

Paul Gauguin 10 Night Cruise

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Paul Gauguin

User Avatar

The Paul Gauguin is a smaller cruise ship which enables it to go places where the large vessels can't. Although it is nearly 40 years old a major refurb in 2021 was done well and has since been maintained so the ship overall, cabins and public areas present very well. The scenery is spectacular particularly viewed from the pool deck with Pina Colada in hand. Staff are well trained apart ...

Everything Just a Little Better Than Most

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

Thanks to my fellow cruise critics for your Equinox reviews. They are spot on. Everything about this ship is just a little better than most. We thought our experience was a good value and would recommend it.. We are senior travelers. The ship provided everything we wanted from a cruise. All of the public areas have a large and luxurious feel to them. The elevators are well planned and ...

Great cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

We had a wonderful cruise to the southern Caribbean. We usually sail on Princess, but this ship had a great itinerary and a good price. This ship is going into dry dock and our balcony showed signs of wear. There was lots of rust , but maintenance came and painted it to give it a better look. The paint smell was a little overpowering. The food was delicious and escargot, shrimp cocktail, and ...

Norwegian Spirit March 2024

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

I was nervous that the Norwegian Spirit wouldn’t be as nice an experience as Celebrity’s Equinox but it actually exceeded my expectations. Wonderful staff and service. Excellent food. Lots of fun entertainment and activities offered. Great basic drink package that included everything from martinis to Irish coffee, pina coladas and Coronas. The ship was smaller than the Equinox but nicely updated ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Divina

That cruise was choosed because of itinerary and value for money. It was right choice, everything was great for rookie. Most impressive thing-in all ports, when we came back from shore excursion, the ship personal was waiting in the pier, offering cold wet towels and cold orange or lemon water (the days were really hot and lot of moisture). Shore excursions (bought from MSC before embarkation) ...

Amazing Family Cruise - Norwegian IN - Carnival OUT

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

My wife wanted to try Norwegian after speaking to many at her work who regularly use NCL. We have been on 25+ cruises and 23 of them were with Carnival. We had 1 Royal Caribbean and I had one NCL (20+ years ago) and didn't really remember much about that small ship out of Miami. We chose the 7 day out of New Orleans (we live right outside the area) with stops in Cozumel, Roatan, Honduras, ...

MSC DIVINA – 03/03/24 thru 03/10/24 When i sit down and do a review, the first thing that i always try to do is get to the bottom line – i really like the yacht club in msc and will be doing this again as soon as possible. that being said, as a company, at the customer service level pre-sailing, these folks have some serious problems that gives horrible service. i will touch on pre-sail first ...

This was our third trip with Seadream. Before I get to more comments, I think that it is important to realize that SD is very different than a traditional cruise and quite different from most other luxury lines. It lacks many of the amenities of larger ships many of which we also enjoy. But, it also offers a level of relaxed intimacy and service that few can match. The recent remodel has ...
