First mistake was not knowing that you don't take a cruise on a ship that's going into or out of dry dock because there will be contractors working on various aspects of the ship all during the cruise. The ship is very old and the furniture is ripped and needs cleaning. We were surprised how dirty the ship is. Carpet desperately needs cleaning. Service and all amenities are cut back. Ok, first the good. The food is pretty reasonable. We eat at speciality restaurants , the buffet and the three included restaurants. Ruby Princess needs a complete overhaul of her plumbing etc. There were extensive problems with toilets not working, flooding in some cabins and even the kitchen got flooded. There was a fire in the crew area on the last night as well as a sudden listing to one side. Several people were picked up by ambulances when we got to Ft Lauderdale in the morning.
