We always have wanted to experience Asia. We chose Viking to do that knowing that they are the best in handling all details of your trips. This was no exception. While we were only on the ship for 8 days the rest of the time we toured Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Wuhan plus Guilin and several others. Every meal ( except for 1) was well thought out and delicious. Our meals on board were some of ...

We took the June 7, 2019 Northern Europe cruise out of Copenhagen, Denmark in a Haven Spa suite (14728). We are a couple traveling without children from Arizona to Denmark via London. There is a direct British Airways flight from Phoenix to London and then we hopped a short flight to Copenhagen. Arriving the day before departure left us a day to wander around Copenhagen. We had booked an ...

Excellent family cruise

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

Dining: Freestyle dining is probably the best part of this cruise from a family perspective. We tried all the complimentary restaurants but the buffet remained our preferred dining area since it offered the widest selection. Our favorite non-comp restaurant was Moderno because the meat was delicious and there was a wonderful variety. The waiter brings different types and cuts of meat to the ...

Transatlantic Solo

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

I choose a transatlantic cruise onboard the magnificent QM2 which departed New York in mid June. I was looking for a complete break after a particularly hectic period and couldn’t have imagined how thoroughly revitalising the experience would end up being. I travelled solo and was amazed at the sheer quantity and variety of things to do - along with the choice to do as much or as little as you ...

Alaska Was Fantastic

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Grand Princess

Our cruise was amazing. It was the perfect time to go as we still got to see snow and the mountains and all the waterfalls created by the snow melting. The entertainment onboard was almost too much to choose from. The comedians and shows were really good. Food was fantastic in the restaurant and in the buffet, so much to choose from again. Lots of options with the Cafe, pizzeria, burgers and ice ...

Port of Tampa was very easy port to get into and park. We had Priority Boarding went great on the ship and eating lunch in 10 min. Carnival Paradise is a smaller ship but has all the upgrades and easy to get around lines were very short every time. The food was the best that we have had on our last few cruises, it was good very good. The staff was very efficient and the ship was always ...

Just what we needed!

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Nieuw Amsterdam

This was our first cruise, and coming off a cruisetour (Y4L) we had four days on the ship. We had an opportunity to upgrade to a Signature Suite from a Veranda and glad we did. This put us in room 6072 in the middle of the ship. We had a larger bathroom and room to spread out. The veranda was a wonderful place to view the glaciers on our day in Glacier Bay. We ate at the Lido buffet for ...

Alaska, best cruise ever.

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

If you have not done Alaska, put it at the very top of your bucket list. We did the Northbound on the Jewel plus the five day land tour from Seward to Fairbanks via Denali. All things being equal I would have preferred to do the land portion first, but only Northbound goes to Glacier Bay. The number one reason for best cruise ever was out of NCL's hands, as it was the spectacular weather. The ...

Some difference btw Disney Dream and Royal Caribbean cruises

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Disney Dream

User Avatar

I recently took a Disney cruise on the Disney Dream, a 4-day with stops at Castaway Cay and Nassau. I did not think I would ever take a Disney cruise. I’ve been on about 20 Royal Caribbean and Norwegian cruises and didn’t think I would ever spend the extra money for the Disney experience. But, now that I have, I’m glad I was able to see the difference and had a lovely cruise. I’ll try to ...
