Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

We chose this cruise for a new itinerary. This is not our first time on the Breakaway. Fewer waiters in bars. Less activities such as expert lectures. Less musical choice, too many DJ sessions. Shambolic disembarkation. The cruise ship had a lot of facilities closed until 4 or 5pm each day giving little choice when wandering around ship. The entertainment was only 50% ok. The "rock of ...

BACKGROUND This was our second cruise experience. We had previously sailed on Royal Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas to Cozumel-Cayman-Jamaica in 2016. Since we wanted to visit different destinations and would only be able to cruise during the week of 3/17/2019, we decided to go with Carnival Vista since it was going to Cozumel-Belize-Roatan. Moreover, there was the added attraction of being on ...

Beautiful coastal cuise. Cabins are bigger than average with a refrigerater within. Ice brought 2x a day. Ruby Princess was overrated though. Of course no cruise is a bad cruise but from all the recommendations from my friends (for Princess) I was expecting a lot more! Older ship- mediocre food- mediocre entertainment- bar service great- restaurant service great. Food nothing special. ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

This cruise was chosen because it left from New Orleans and I had never been to that city and thought it was a good opportunity to visit the city before going on the cruise. I think that because there were so many young adults, teenagers and children on board, that it made the ship seem very crowded. There seemed to always be a problem finding seating in the common areas such as the pool ...

We are normally easy going, easy to please travelers. This was our first cruise in 16 years, the previous ones being with close friends, so we didn't really know what to expect. We took the NCL Breakaway from New Orleans for 7 nights with stops in Cozumel, Harvest Caye, and Costa Maya. The port: We drove from Indiana to new Orleans. Access to the port is a bit convoluted, and it seems like ...

Previously sailed only on RCI Liberty of Seas, also from Galveston, Thanksgiving 2017. This was a last-second purchase for Spring Break. Only place we could get 2 rooms was the spa deck. We got one balcony and the one oddball interior room and had to split our adults across the two rooms to make the booking legal. (My wife and I are 50 and 47, son is 15, daughter is 9). Drove down from ...

Late docking at 3 of 4 ports. This cut into our vacation time! Setvice at the nain dining rooms was pretty bad. Service at the cadino bar wad careless. The room steward was great. The inside rooms are small but at least everything fit. We left on St. Patrick's Day but there was little decoration or celebration.. One of the pools and two hot tubs were closed the entire time. The ...

We chose this ship because it was newer and we lived the itinerary and not too many sea days. (We have been on about 26 cruises) This is what we loved: 1. The ship is beautiful 2. Staff is attentive and friendly 3. Dinner in dining room doesn’t seem rushed 4. Itinerary 5. Very clean 6. Despite reviews that say they don’t have an “unlimited” internet package they actually did. ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Caribbean Princess

Princess has been a step above Carnival, but over the last few years, the gap is shrinking. All announcements and especially the music were of such volume that it was physically demanding to tollerate. When asked to lower the volume, ship’s staff responded that it was necessary to be loud to create a party atmosphere. Food was below par, and service was simply average. I was served Cream ...

DIRTY Underwear SUITE...too bad!

I took my granddaughter and her college friend on SPRINGBREAK...EMBARRASSEnD! We found two pair of dirty underwear in our room upon arrival. Very nasty! There was a contact lens stuck to the wall of our bathroom for the entire trip. Plastic and paper trash was under both beds. We were given a free meal in one of the specialty dining rooms for our room being dirty . For the first time ever in my ...
