We chose this cruise for a new itinerary. This is not our first time on the Breakaway.
Fewer waiters in bars. Less activities such as expert lectures. Less musical choice, too many DJ sessions.
Shambolic disembarkation.
The cruise ship had a lot of facilities closed until 4 or 5pm each day giving little choice when wandering around ship.

Beautiful coastal cuise. Cabins are bigger than average with a refrigerater within. Ice brought 2x a day. Ruby Princess was overrated though. This cruise was chosen because it left from New Orleans and I had never been to that city and thought it was a good opportunity to visit the city before going on the cruise. We are normally easy going, easy to please travelers. This was our first cruise in 16 years, the previous ones being with close friends, so we didn't really know what to expect. We took the NCL Breakaway from New Orleans for 7 nights with stops in Cozumel, Harvest Caye, and Costa Maya.

Previously sailed only on RCI Liberty of Seas, also from Galveston, Thanksgiving 2017.
This was a last-second purchase for Spring Break. Only place we could get 2 rooms was the spa deck. We got one balcony and the one oddball interior room and had to split our adults across the two rooms to make the booking legal. (My wife and I are 50 and 47, son is 15, daughter is 9).

Late docking at 3 of 4 ports. This cut into our vacation time! Setvice at the nain dining rooms was pretty bad. Service at the cadino bar wad careless.
The room steward was great. The inside rooms are small but at least everything fit.
We left on St. Patrick's Day but there was little decoration or celebration..

Princess has been a step above Carnival, but over the last few years, the gap is shrinking. All announcements and especially the music were of such volume that it was physically demanding to tollerate. I took my granddaughter and her college friend on SPRINGBREAK...EMBARRASSEnD! We found two pair of dirty underwear in our room upon arrival. Very nasty!
