Alaska Experience

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Island Princess

We were traveling with friends who had already booked this cruise on the recommendation of her sister. The only reasons I did not give it a higher rating is because the food both in the buffet and dining room were just "okay", the cabin was fairly decent in size but you could tell the ship was aging. While most of the dining room staff were great, the customer service staff--not so much. We went ...

First time cruise so we cant compare to other ships. First impression counts and we were pleasantly surprised with the warm welcome as we boarded on Deck7. Found the nearest bar (as you do coz we're British) and had our first drink before exploring the ship whilst waiting for our room to be ready. Very clean and smelt good. Had a bite to eat. Couldn't fault anything other than the toilet paper (1 ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Brilliance of the Seas

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and pricing. Both of which, met our expectations and the cruise was great. It was a ship loaded with senior citizens, all of whom had a fun time for the 13 days. The food was much better than average in both quality and quantity. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and did all within their ability to keep the customers' very ...

Kobe to Vancouver - still good but clearly slipping.

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seabourn Sojourn

We chose this cruise because of very good past experiences on Seabourn, particularly on the 210 passenger “little sisters”. When they introduced the larger (450 passenger) ships the loss of the country club ambiance was significant. One glaring but understandable change was the dramatically reduced use of passenger’s names, it was a very common and pleasant feature on the smaller ships but it ...

The ship was beautiful ,new furniture new carpets and new bars All carpets had been replaced and spotlessly clean . The only thing which let it down was the food and service . waiting 20 mins in main dining room for starter and 3/4 hour for breakfast . The food was really disgusting steaks tasted horrible looked as though they had been marinated no blood no taste no grain. Garlic ...

Great vacation overall

The cruise was excellent, all ports were amazing. The days at sea were relaxing overall mostly because the ship didn't have any real event/activities other than a few trivia's that were extremely short or almost impossible to do completely due to the staff they had hosting them couldn't say many of questions and were having to spell out words which makes it overall an unpleasant experience and I ...

We were invited on the 13 May 2018 but had already booked the following 5 weeks so it was consecutive cruising for us, it was an eye opener to see the way people present themselves when something is free it was occasionally embarrassing and sad to see a beautiful ship being treated without respect. The extra 100or so cabins have made a difference to the number of people using deck space and bars ...

Great choice for a first cruise!

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

First Time Cruiser • Age 60s

We selected this cruise for the dates we had available and having no prior experience it did not matter to us which ship. Other reviewers mentioned that this was a smaller ship, but it seemed large to us. We really enjoyed our experience on the Enchantment of the Seas; both the customers and the staff were international and friendly. The food was excellent in the dining room and the buffet had ...

Amazing Trip - Beautiful Ship

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Magnifica

User Avatar

Embarkation at Southampton was swift and efficient. We boarded around 12.30pm and the cabin was available at 14.20. Food and drinks were available in the Sahara buffet on deck 13 – show your itinerary details if you have “all inclusive drinks package” to obtain your free drinks. Our cabin was very clean and well presented – our cabin attendant greeted us, in fairness he did not explain the ...

Better than expected

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on MSC Magnifica

We had not sailed with MSC before, so thought we would give it a try and we had a good value deal. Having read many bad reviews before we sailed, we were apprehensive to say the least. However, we were pleasantly surprised. Embarkation was easy at Southampton and we went to lunch on arrival. Food in the buffet restaurant was adequate, but not very hot, so we thought maybe some of the reviews we ...
