Itinerary was Southern Caribbean (Aruba, Curacao, Grand Turk). Had heard a lot of things both good and bad about Sunshine but the ship surprised me from the beginning.
The Carnival website shows the aft-facing balcony cabins on Deck 7 as NOT having a sofa or minifridge in the cabin. Not only did we have the sofa but also a minifridge. The Havana Bar area is unique to the Sunshine being the home ...
Overall solid cruise. Friendly staff. Luigi (Cruise Director) Lauren and Chico (Activities) were all great and extremely personable.
Dining room was great — I tried a lot of the fish, lamb, pork. Didn’t go for any of the up-charge dining rooms, although they pushed them a lot. Dining staff worked their tails off as usual to accommodate people.
Ship is easy to navigate -- it's a good size, ...
This is only my second cruise and my first on Royal Caribbean so take that into consideration when reading this review. The ship is beautiful and quite large with a lot of modern features. Lots to do day and night. The entertainment is endless and they have variety of classes and events for all ages. The shows were good but had some strange elements in them especially Spectra. We stayed in a ...
23rd cruise, 18th on Royal. We enjoy this itinerary (it's the only one we've seen with a day stop in Bermuda, we like San Juan because they park in Old San Juan, we love Labadee because we do the zipline, we love St. Maarten because we love the airport).
GOOD:
The breakfast variety has gotten better (e.g. round oniony potatoes instead of Burger King little tots).
The trivias have ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, we had never visited any of these ports before and were looking forward to new places to see. After a long 10.5 hr flight we cleared US customs in record time and as we had booked the Celebrity package were taken to our hotel. As scheduled we were collected from our hotel and transferred to the port again this was part of our package. we then had to ...
This ship is fairly decent for the most part. We felt the Lido Deck was lacking, the pool is small and it was always jammed with people. The food on the Lido Deck was more like glorified cafeteria style food and /or mall "Food Court" style. Guys Burgers was nothing more than a stand with the burgers, you get the burger and put what you want on it at the condiment stand. Somehow I got the ...
We went on this cruise for a little relaxation and to celebrate our anniversary. I knew what to expect as I have cruised before on Carnival. I figured it would be a majority party crowd and it was to some extent. This was my wife's first cruise and she had a blast. I was a little disappointed in the lack of excitement and entertainment as we set sail. No bon voyage party, games, or drink specials. ...
We chose this cruise as an alternative to the one we had cancelled in the Carribean due to the flights being cancelled because of the Beast from the East. We got as far as Newark but could not get to San Juan. We were delighted with this cruise as we had not sailed in the Adriatic Sea before and were really happy to have done it. The other plus was we flew direct to Barcelona from Edinburgh and ...
We picked this cruise for 2 reasons. First, we really enjoyed our first Celebrity Cruise on the Solstice (Alaska-Tracy Arm Fjord) in 2017, after 4 prior cruises on different lines. Second, we liked the itinerary with 10 nights and only 2 days at sea.
Ship: We were apprehensive that this older Infinity might be disappointing. However, we found this "Solsticized" ship to actually be nicer ...
We choose this cruise because of the itinerary and because it left from Southampton.
The stops did not disappoint. The ship seemed old and even though we were not pleased with our cabin, everything else about the cruise was good, especially the entertainment and the food.
My sister and I were not able to get excursions in some of the ports. We did not find the information desk very helpful ...
