I chose this cruise because we had a terrible winter, we are bad at renting lake houses (the weeks we choose are invariably colder than normal), and I noticed that the Fantasy, the only DCL ship I hadn't been on, had a 3 night that was at Castaway Cay on my BDay. Sold! Booked it at the end of January; sailed July 11.

Nice ship with a great (balcony) cabin. If all Princess cabins are like this we have found a new favorite cruise line. The layout of the cabin is unique in our experience, and we actually had room to walk between the bed and the wall.
The ship was easier to find our way around than we are used to, partly because the rugs are different on the port and starboard sides.

Choose RC as the service and ships are very good, everything you need for holiday. Plenty to do on and off ship with great itinerary. The people, the food, the ship was just great! If you get the chance to cruise with Royal Caribbean definitely take it because they are definitely one of the best in the business. We chose the Jewel based on the dates. It is extremely hot where we live and we wanted the change to cooler weather! We were NOT disappointed! The weather was cool almost cold but delightful! The embarkation and disembarkation was very quick maybe 15 minutes tops. The entertainment was awesome. Suzanny had one heck of a voice, beautiful. This was our first cruise and we loved it. Royal Caribbean staff were all very good and focused on ensuring we had a great time. We arranged our own travel to and from the ship which went well. The check in process was fairly seamless inc our bags being taken from back of taxi to our cabins so we could immediately enjoy and explore the ship.
