The ship was beautiful. Room 10864 was very big but the balcony was very small. We weren’t prepared for that. The entertainment wasn’t very good. One night we went to a show and it said it was for over 21 and it was borderline porno. Really very bad taste. The theaters are very small so you have to get there a 1/2 hour early or you will not have a seat. We walked out of a show one night, ...
I picked this cruise because it fit into a narrow window I had for travel. In some ways it worked out as it was inexpensive. I travel solo, and when I booked the price for a balcony was only a few hundred more than an inside. I took it.
The ports were nothing new for me. Outside of the Mexican Riveria, I've done Western Caribbean more than any other destination. Princess Cays was ...
I love cruising out of San Francisco...and I have enjoyed my many cruises on the Grand Lady...The Hawaiian Ambassadors were warm and welcoming...The entertainers at Crooners were great...the Captain Circle Hostess was excellent...friendly...calming and welcoming...The Captain was also very welcoming and patient spending time with passengers and always willing to stop talk and pose for a shot...the ...
Itinerary. This was a 12 day cruise, sailing out of San Juan and going to Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, Grenada, Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Maarten, and Tortola. A terrific set of ports!
We took advantage of 3 or 4 of the specialty restaurants. All were good. We particularly liked Cagney's. The food was great! We weren't as fond of the Brazilian restaurant. The food wasn't to our ...
Was a 12 day cruise out of New Orleans, which we like to sail from. Same ports we have been before, but for relaxing it was just what we wanted. The ship overall is in excellent condition, but it is a big ship that can hold over 5000 passengers. Numerous dining options and bars thru out the ship, of course all at a cost except the main dining rooms, which are better than average in my option ...
MY wife and I wanted to see more islands we have never been to. Everything about Norwegian we always like.
EXCEPT why does the ship have to keep the air conditioning up so high?? My wife froze. Me too even!! We are in the caribbean. She wants to wear summer outfits. Not pants and sweaters. (Which most women wore) and complained.
I doubt we will cruise again unless the itinerary is a cool ...
Just returned from Oasis - Eastern route - after taking Western one year ago. This year's experience was even better than last year because of a much better dining experience. Last year, My Time Dining was a disappointment overall. This year we chose early dining and our server Vaibhav and asst Claire at table 564 in Grand DR were outstanding.
The American Icon for breakfast and lunch was ...
I traveled with a friend who is a cruise travel agent and a group of about 35 other friends who usually do at least one cruise a year. The agent arranges the cruise, independent excursions and travel to and from the ship.
This is the first cruise I have done on a larger ship. My other cruises have been on Azamara and Paul Gaugin which are small all inclusive ships. I tried this because the ...
We chose this cruise primarily because of the itinerary. Although we had been on two prior southern Caribbean cruises, this itinerary included six islands we had never been to before. It also excluded St. Thomas, which we are not overly fond of. We arrived in San Juan a day early and stayed at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Hotel and Casino. Nice hotel with a convenient location to the piers. The ...
I was last on this ship 10 years prior, so I don't remember a lot of the specifics way back then. But do remember enjoying the ship then and I still do. It's in that nice "not too big, not too small" comfort area I like.
But it is showing its wear. I mean if that was my first cruise, I probably wouldn't have noticed, but after a bunch you subconsciously become a bit of a cruise snob.
But ...
