The dining room and cabin steward were great. The ship just came out of dry dock and there were technical problems with the Movies at Sea on deck, that was a bit disappointing. Many workers came along on the first leg out of dry dock to finish up maintenance, no big deal - just something we noticed.

Clean ship.
Service in dining room super slow. Food adequate, not great.
Took 2 hours for breakfast one morning. Luckily it was a sea day.
Be careful in the islands. Some people on our ship had an incident in Antigua. Google it. Be aware of your surroundings at all times. Beach at Tortola was nice. Favorite port is St. Maartens. Nice beach.

Pros: it's a cheap cruise and left from Galveston. Fellow cruisers were full of fun. We have been on many cruise lines, would pick the cruisers on Carnival over the more expensive lines just because they laughed so much and truly have a good time. Ship was mostly clean and well run. Our cruise started with a 6 day escorted tour of Cambodia followed by a night in Singapore so we were ready for some relaxation. We had never done a cruise before and OH WOW!!! were we surprised.
Ship was huge and beautiful. We ate mostly at the Oceanview café as it had plenty of variety. Stir Fry section in the evenings was our favorite and late pizza. Staff were great!!

Wanted to see the Panama Canal for a second time and was hoping to see the new canal. Unfortunately we went through the old locks. This was our 2nd cruise with Princess. This line has good food and drinks. The ship was in good condition for it's age. The rooms were in nice condition. The Wheelhouse bar/gathering room could use some new furniture. We did the cruise of the Gatun locks and into the lake.
