First experience with NCL. Had a bad experience with customer service between booking and sailing. As a first-timer I would have expected more from a company in the service industry to try and build rapport to make me a repeat customer, but that will not happen. There was a tremendous price drop with nothing to make up for it.
Embarkation was frustrating because the key cards they issued in the ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary, which we enjoyed. We chose Princess because of the previous good experiences my sister and her husband had, and they joined us on this cruise. They were as disappointed with the service and food as we were. Some staff seemed irritated with requests, and sometimes were actually surly. There were instances of drawers slammed to show displeasure. (2 of our ...
This is our fifth cruise and our first with MSC. We got an excellent price offering about 10 months ago, so decided to give them a try. We certainly got our money’s worth. The ship was well maintained, tastefully decorated (not garish at all), and the crew were pleasant, professional, and polite. Entertainment was surprisingly good, but did get tired before the end of the 8 days, as they have ...
We booked this short cruise for a weekend away as we are fairly local to the port, cruise RCCL three times previous (never from uk port).
It was pretty clear that there were lots of first timers and hen/stag dos onboard which were intent on partying which resulted in some serious mad behaviour, didn’t bother us but things like people throwing up from drinking too much on deck could put a lot of ...
I picked this cruise based on itinerary and date; 3rd time on the Adventure but on Caribbean itineraries. We were a group of 7 adults (all have cruised before several times except for my 80 yrs old friend) We had embarkation time for 10:30am. (Highly recommend this time)Took a taxi on EWR and it took us like 20 minutes to Cape Liberty (no traffic because it was early). It was like $13 per person ...
Have previously sailed on the Norwegian Spirit. In comparison I found the Pearl was disappointing in a number of areas. Daily information sheets were great but activities on offer less so. The main restaurant dining was a veritable nightmare with difficulty in finding seats. Overspill areas meant having to carry hot food some distance from where it was served. Food selection was uninspiring. Salad ...
Paid over 14k for a 4 person cruise, GF and twin boys. First trip to Alaska so I did not want plain jane instead I opted for a mini-suite and paid for everything months before departure. This also included 2 nights in Seattle Washington. We were to stay at the Seattle Westin which I found to be a mistake after the fact.
The cabin says suite but rather it was like a normal room with very ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary; we'd never been to ports of call.
The staff was friendly and attentive, always ready to help. Our Main Dining Room staff was excellent, from the Head Waiter to our personal waitstaff.
Most of the musical entertainment was very good. The comedians were just okay...maybe it's because we missed some things since we're not British (the accent, ...
My husband and I traveled with another couple for a long weekend getaway. The new updates they have added to the ship were great. The Escape room was a lot of fun and definitely different than what we were used to locally; which added to the excitement. The water slides were great but closed at 6pm or 7pm every night. The pools and hot tubs other than the poolside movie pool closed by 7pm. ...
We’d been led to believe Celebrity was a premiere cruise line and chose this Alaska trip with a great itinerary to get a feel for the cruise line.
The Good Things: lovely balcony cabin with very nice shower room. Comfortable bed. Great room steward. Some very good external entertainment. Good CLA staff. Food in main dining room was very good and also in Oceanview Cafe. Tuscan Grill was ...
