Wife and I, 60s, cruised the British Isles from Jun 17 to 29th, from L'Havre. Embarkation simple and efficient. Choose an inside cabin on the Aloha deck at a very low price; cabin we fine as was the cabin steward. Food and service in the buffet was very good which was very beneficial since in the restaurant(s) it was very sketchy, many of the staff ill prepared to serve English speaking ...
This was our 7th Carnival Cruise and our 30th cruise. We chose this cruise for a relaxing time after a week of touring in New Orleans. Also, we had one of our daughters and her family. The kiddos had a blast going up and down the waterslide, over and over and over. There was something sharp at the bottom and both kids scraped their feet and came out bleeding at one point. There was nowhere to sit ...
We had been recommended the ports on a British Isles Cruise from a friend. We found the ports on a Princess cruise. We had cruised Princess several times before and were expecting a level of quality in the ship and staff that unfortunately we did not receive on this cruise. The Crown Princess seems to be a tired ship with a tired staff and crew. They seem more interested in selling you extras ...
Age group is 47-50 with a 12 year old. Atlanta
We chose this cruise for the ports and this was our daughters first trip abroad. We wanted her to see Paris along with the other ports fabulous ports in Ireland and Scotland. Pros to this ship was the great new sleep system. They have all new beds with fabulous pillow tops that call to you after a long day of touring! Our cabin was clean, but ...
Have sailed on all of the major lines but never a ship of this size. Although the crew was pleasant and responsive the experience seemed impersonal due to the large number of passengers they had to deal with.
The buffet food was fair, restaurants much better. Teppanyake specialty restaurant had the best food; quality and quantity, but prepare for an entertaining and loud performance by chefs ...
This was a family cruise around the Fjiords with frequent cruisers.
The boarding was very efficient and our cabin (Superior Deluxe Balcony) could not be faulted when we first arrived.
However, the food across the board was below average. It was below average in general, not just in comparison to the normal standard of cruise food. The buffet was small, cramped and disorganised with limited ...
We booked a Haven room on the Norwegian Getaway for our Baltic Sea trip. The Haven is the luxury level on some Norwegian ships. Our room was a Family Villa - two bedrooms, which was perfect for my wife and I and our adult daughter.
First the good: beautiful room, lots of storage, very attractive. The Haven has a restricted access pool and sun area, as well as its own dining room and concierge ...
I chose this cruise because I wanted to experience one of the mega-ships to see what it had to offer that smaller ships don't. I also had never been to the Caribbean so this seemed like an ideal cruise.
Embarkation and disembarkation were extremely easy and quick. We checked in online weeks before leaving and were on the ship within minutes of arriving at Port Everglades.
Our first ...
First, sorry for such a long review....
This was our first NCL cruise and we chose it because of the itinerary. We have sailed quite a bit previously on Carnival, Celebrity and Princess. The ports we visited were excellent. Warnemünde/Rostock, Tallinn, St Petersburg, Helsinki and Stockholm.
As with most cruises, there were good, bad, average, exceptional throughout the 9 days.
The ship ...
