Had issues on day one and they just haunted my girlfriend and I throughout our trip. A paid for drink package, that we had ample proof of.( email from NCL and our itemized reservation.) Couldn’t get it on our room card at the check in, computer issues were blamed and we were told to see Guest Services once onboard the ship. Here’s where it starts to unravel, gentleman we dealt with was virtually a ...
The boat itself is very nice. The decor and surroundings are tastefully done.
Cabin is a good size.
Food is good although there is not much variety among the different restaurants.
Excursions are pricey and better deals can be found elsewhere online.
Working level staff (i.e. not Germans) are friendly and nice and do their jobs well.
German management staff are all young (20s) ...
The cruise was chosen so we could see most of Japan with the convenience of a cruise...perhaps we would have been better off using the rail system itself. Getting to our hotel from Haneda easily accomplished by riding the airport bus....45 min door to door, ¥1,350/person...Yokohama was worth spending a few days exploring before boarding. We explored easily on our own and the rail/subway system ...
Embarkation was quick and smooth. The Preziosa is a beautifull ship with a good layout. We were cruising in an Aurea suite which includes the ‘Easy’ drinking package, massage and spa access.
Overall food quality is below average, in the buffet hot food is just warm. If you’re looking for Nutella or something alike they refer to the shop where you can buy(!) it. Never heard that one before. At ...
I chose this cruise because of the numerous ports around Japan during the fall when we were supposed to observe the leaves changing colors.
We were in Tokyo before 3 times and we were looking forward to see the small port cities were the ship was going to dock.
Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly.
The ship is an old ship built in 2004, mainly for Japanese customers as per one of ...
After 16 cruises with Royal Caribbean in three and a half years (Diamond Members), I can say without a doubt that this is probably our last RCL cruise. Unfortunately, I can also honestly say they probably don't care and won't notice. Our first cruise on the Jewel was marginal at best for the ship but great for the ports so when we saw this cruise to the Holy Land, we booked it. While on the ...
The positive is that the ports of call we loved ... Amber cove and Grand Turk. Our cabin we had was a grand suite u98 . Room was clean and comfortable. Out cabin Stewart was great along with the dining staff . On the down side. Food on buffet was fair at best. Terrible selection. Dining room was hit or miss. 2 nights paid for an upgrade for surf and turf. One was good. The other was half the ...
Was this ship actually renovated?
US$100 million, where did the money go?
What did we notice was renovated:
- Windjammer marketplace buffet
- Theatre and seat coverings
- Studio Ice skating seating
- Upper deck surface
- Vitality centre/massage etc
Where did the the rest of the cash go?
The gym was a third of the size of the old one or less, the steam and sauna rooms ...
we flew from edinburgh to new orleans with delta ...first horrible experience,,stayed in nice hotel in new orleans,Boarded ship ..great ,quick and efficient no problems, cabin was a good size and was kept spotless by cabin crew no worries there but it was at front of ship and the engine noise on three nights was horrendous no sleep, never heard noises like it so make sure your cabin is towards the ...
We took this cruise as part of a fairly large group of friends. We cruised Norwegian in the past, when we had a great experience, so we were excited. We learned through social media that the Star was having propulsion system problems, and was unable to complete its previous itinerary as planned. One of our group is a travel agent, who contacted the NCL headquarters a couple of days before sailing ...
