The last dinner (Valentine’s Day) with my family was almost ruined by our waiter... He forgot a lot of items ordered and got most of the Entrées completely wrong. He was too busy talking to the table full of ladies instead of giving his full attention to our table. But other than that everyone (expect for the last waiter) on the ship was great. Rooms were clean, Hallways were clean, and Restrooms in the main lobby areas were clean. The Cruise Director TJ was awesome!!! His personality is incredible. If TJ’s name is on the Cruise Ship Details while planning our next Cruise Vacation, it will make it way much to say YES!!! and book it! My wife and I enjoyed his Lip Sync Battle performance. I was hilarious! We booked 2 Excursions through Carnival and 2 Massages. The Excursions were great! 1 of the 2 Massages was great. I will never book a Swedish Massage again. Debarking was a bit of a hassle which made us late to pick up our four-legged child from where we had him boarded. But I will be booking another cruise soon! Read Less

We chose this particular ship on this particular date as extended family were going and asked us to join them. We had a great time overall and are glad we went. Embarkation was seamless and speedy, we arrived at our chosen time, flew through the process, and we were in our cabin in less than 30 minutes of drop off. Dining was a pleasure even at the busiest times at the Oceanview Cafe, which was exceptionally good for a buffet. Loved Fine Cut and their ribeye and Dover Sole. Since it wasn’t a specific school vacation time we had a decidedly older population on the ship with maybe 10% of passengers using a cane, walker, wheelchair, or scooter, which made it a little tight in narrow hallways. My only negative is our cabin: while perfectly located it’s banging, clanging, and cracking noises marred our sleep. Most likely the cabin is on a construction seam and the blowing wind and waves caused the ship to rock unevenly. I did not complain as I didn’t want to change cabins. Read Less

I booked this cruise because it went out of Baltimore and it was the best deal I could find. I had very low expectations, and just wanted to get away for a week with my family, see some new places, and not have to cook or clean. The Carnival Pride surpassed my expectations in every way. The musicals at night were awesome. Our cabin was perfect. My kids had so much fun in the pool and doing the water slides over and over again. I had read reviews saying that the food on Carnival Pride was lukewarm and not good-- we ate mostly in the main dining room, and the food was wonderful and always hot. My husband did wish there had been a live dealer for poker in the casino. I had also read reviews saying that the passengers on the Pride are rude-- this was not our experience at all. Everyone was friendly and seemed to be having a great time. The other passengers did not act annoyed by our children, which I had been a bit concerned about as this is supposedly a "party boat." Many people stopped to talk to my kids and really seemed delighted by them. The ports were decent-- we swam and hung out at the beach in Princess Cays, and did a glass bottom boat Carnival excursion in Freeport. Those were both nice. We explored Nassau on foot and went to the Pirates Museum and the restaurant next to it for lunch. I enjoyed getting out of the cruise terminal area and walking to the museum-- we were able to talk with several local people who helped us with directions, and it was nice to interact with these kindhearted Bahamian souls. Nassau was my favorite port out of the three because it felt like we got to experience a bit of the true culture of the Bahamas. Ultimately, this cruise was so much fun and my whole family can't wait to do it again. Read Less

After reading all the negative reviews of this boat I was terrified of what was to come but was pleasantly surprised. The boat is smaller but there was loads to do and the service and food were all great. I've cruised before and the food was some of the best I've had! A word of warning... the boat did get a bit tippy at points which I heard was due to the lack of stabilizers. I would reccomend packing gravel or some kind of seasick medicine if you're sensitive to motion. The ports were incredible with Turks and Caicos my fav. We did the stingray kiss encounter and it's something I'll never forget. There is a beach right at port so you could just relax all day here. Amber Cove was also good with a massive swimming pool and waterslides. We traveled with our kids who are are 9 and 6 and loved it. My only negative is the shows are not nearly as good as some I've seen on other cruise lines. The late night ones sounded good but weren't appropropriate to take the kids to. Overall an excellent holiday in the sunshine and I would reccomend this! Keep in mind it's an older boat with lots of purple and is a smaller ship...but get past that and you'll have a blast!
