Myself and 3 friends traveled on the Norwegian Sun on a 4 night Bahamas cruise for our annual girls' trip. We were incredibly disappointed. The food was between poor and mediocre, many of the staff seemed bothered, or downright rude, and the public restrooms were disgusting. There was water (or it may have been urine) on the floor of many of the bathrooms. Not pleasant, especially when dressed ...
We will not cruise the Norwegian sun again. We never saw our room steward the whole trip. All he/she did was bring fresh towels daily and make or turn down bed. We encountered several rude bartenders and staff. The food was ok nothing special had almost same menu on buffet every breakfast and every dinner. The shows/ entertainment wasn’t fit to watch a lot of singing and dancing to music I wasn’t ...
I don't normally write reviews but I wanted to take the time to write so I could warn fellow Haven guests before you incur a huge expense and then be totally let down. In the beginning, we chose Norwegian because they offered first-class service in The Haven. We have sailed on the Epic and the Escape. Both wonderful ships and staying in The Haven was definitely first-class. We booked another trip ...
Getting on the ship and off the ship was simple in and of itself, but getting TO the ship was another story. We had purchased a package that included transfers from the airport to Port Canaveral, however, our flights were delayed and changed a few times, getting us to Orlando quite a bit later than we were originally scheduled. When I tried to call NCL from Chicago to confirm that we would still ...
This was our 4th NCL cruise and will be our last. We are not big eaters, but enjoy a "snack" before going to bed. The buffet, under title "24/7", closed at 10:30. We came up from shows and could not eat in the buffet. We did not want food from a restaurant, just bread or a cookie. We ended up going up earlier, getting bread and leaving it in the room. We are not "foodies" so the food was ...
I chose this cruise so I could get my family to experience a cruise to Alaska-Ketchikan and Juneau. But alas, the cruise did not complete the itinerary they advertised. The ship was delayed in sailing for more than 10 hours because its marine engineers/technicians did not keep this ship in tip top shape to cruise its way up to Juneau. Instead of going to Juneau, the ship turned back and made a ...
Chose this cruise to see Juneau, glacier bay and mendenhime glacier. Due to engine problems, we had a 12 hour delay leaving originating port of Vancouver Canada. Due to the delay The itinerary was changed eliminating Juneau, Alaska and adding prince Rupert, Canada which we had no desire to see and did not get off the ship. To compensate for the change we were given a credit of $100 each. We felt ...
We had mechanical issues so we left Vancouver 11 hours later than expected. Then was told we could only travel at ½ speed. So they changed our itinerary to Ketchikan - Prince Rupert from Juneau - Ketchikan. Was hoping to see a glacier(s), of course that didn’t happen. Only spent 6.5 hours in Ketchikan our only Alaskan stop and 11 hours in Prince Rupert. Had to cancel our original tour planned for ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary. We had not cruised on Norwegian since the mid-nineties, but past experiences had been good. More recent cruises had been on Princess and Celebrity. Our biggest disappointments were with the food in the "complimentary" venues and with the seemingly constant nickel and diming we saw. The food on past Norwegian cruises had been good- the "specialty" restaurants ...
This was our first cruise with MSC. We chose this cruise because if the itinerary, especially Hamburg and Amsterdam. We really liked the ship its self, which is very grand, and our cabin was quite spacious with a small “Juliet” balcony. However, we were very disappointed with some aspects of the cruise.
Amsterdam
The main problem was Amsterdam. When we booked, the ship was going to dock ...
