2018 NCL Escape (14 Day) Western Caribbean Cruise (out of NY)

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Norwegian Escape

Pre-Cruise Preparation- We put in for vacation time several months before the cruise and were targeting one of 2 cruises (GEM/Escape) that both left NY within a day of each other. I did numerous research and followed the prices. I like to book at least a month out so I have time to research the ports and plan excursions. We like the smaller ships but also wanted to experience a bigger one ...

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Liberty

I chose Liberty for the decor and it didnt disappoint. It's of garden type theme with Spanish style of iron railing and lights. Not over the top and gaudy like some carnival ships but also has a wow factor. We did 4 night Bahamas cruise to princess cay and Freeport. The pros The decor The food was great The shows were okay The staff were not in my face when asking to do photos or ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Liberty of the Seas

Live in Houston and cruise out of Galveston, or Houston, on average of once a year for years. Usually RCI. Enough that we have Diamond status. Last on the Liberty about 2 years ago. Took two shorter cruises last year. Having read some review I was a little concerned about the condition of the ship. I wasn't expecting a brand new ship but from some reviews I wondered if I ought to get a ...

Beautifully refurbished ship and great ports

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

Overall, I highly recommend this particular ship and this itinerary. We loved the fact that this was an 11 night trip and that it departed out of New Orleans. The Breakaway is newly refurbished and in BEAUTIFUL condition. Such a nice change from the tired ships we have sailed on in the past. NCL allows you to choose your arrival time at the port and that made it a very easy and fast ...

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

The ncl pearl has many varieties of activities for any age including bowling. At times multiple activities have been booked in the same venue at the same time. But the staff sorted it out and made applicable changes. The garden cafe has plenty of seating, however at peak times you may choose the italian restaurant for additional seating or choose the great outdoors. There seemed to be 6 hot tubs ...

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

This was my first time on the Dawn, second on Norwegian. We had cruised on the Escape in February so I wasn’t sure I would be very impressed with the older ship. The interior was beautiful and tastefully done. Our suite was fantastic. The only minor disappointment with the suite was that the middle windows were permanently discolored, so the view was partially obstructed and these windows had ...

Wonderful Cruise Destination Sites, the Dawn is nice

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

We chose this cruise because of the number of islands in the Itinerary and the fact that it leaves out of a port that is basically already there (less sail days). We also wanted to experience an NCL cruise on a smaller ship with less people, we were not disappointed. We realized that there would not be the amenities that the larger ships have like a Margarita Ville and the outside bars and ...

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Caribbean Princess

User Avatar

We wanted to do at least 14 days without returning to ft Lauderdale. So we choose the 14 day circle the Caribbean. The Caribbean princess now has the medallion in full use and has a negative effect on the coffee package if you don't use all 15 speciality coffees on this cruise you loose them can't carry over to next cruise. Also on this cruise food was very good in regular dinning rooms an ...

14-Day Panama Canal Round-trip from Tampa November 25-December 9 Norwegian Pearl Embarkation We stayed just outside Tampa the night before and drove in Sunday morning. We parked just across from the terminal and got to the check in point around 10:30. These steps were all painless. We did wait a while with a terminal full of people to board the ship. When we did board with our ...

My Getaway Impression

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

A friend and I cruise 1-2 times a year. We are loyal to NCL as we've worked up to platinum status and appreciate the few perks. We've been on smaller ships in the past as they had iteneraries we wanted. Our previous cruise was on the Epic so I can only compare it, and last's week's Getaway cruise for large ships. We are both cruising mainly for a chance to rest from hectic jobs. Here are a few ...
