Horrible last day

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Escape

Dedicated NCL membersDisembarkation took 3 hours. They lost our souvenirs which they were holding for us and then were nasty about it. Two nights for dinner at Cagneys were fair at best. Our potatoes came first followed 10 minutes later by our steaks which were not cooked properly. Dinner at La Cucina was not up to par. Food came late again. The first 7 nights were otherwise great. Dinner ...

Regal Princess Baltic Sea Cruise

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Regal Princess

Picked this cruse experience due to a special Travelzoo deal that included flight, $85 onboard credit, $58 special dining credit and one bottle of red wine. Itinerary - wonderful, all the ports were worth visited again. Dining - food was not great, compared to the Celebrity cruise that I took before. In general the sit down dinner dishes ( especially fish) were not prepared well and not ...

Ok but not great

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Ruby Princess

We wanted to take our kids and grandkids to Alaska. This cruise fit their schedules. Food was poor to mediocre. One breakfast at Horizon Court is an example. Eggs, cheese slices and bread all the same temperature then I was served cold coffee, very diluted orange juice and "ice water" with 2 small ice cubes floating in it. Service carts in hallways made passage difficult, I often had to fold ...

Not My Cruise Line

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

My wife and I decided to do a quick 1 week cruise out of New York and traveled with my daughter and 11 month old grandson in a separate cabin. We had sailed the S.S. Norway and had such a bad experience we stayed away from NCL. We have 34 cruises under our belts so it was NCL, not cruising, we avoided. This was our least favorite of 13 cruise lines. I know they have their loyal following and ...

Greek Island Cruise

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Koningsdam

We have cruised before with Royal Caribbean and we are Platinum members with Princess. We chose HAL for its itinerary. First hand the ship is impressive and user friendly. Both embarkation and disembarkation were flawless. But sail-a-way was ordinary and we missed the hoopla we have had on other cruises. Both pools were very nice and I like the movable roof at the midship pool. The aft pool ...

Do Not book room 6237 if you like to sleep

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

Worst accommodations ever on my 14 cruises! Room 6237 was like being at a rock concert for 5 days! The walls, the bed, and the floor were booming during every show! If you go to bed early or enjoy some quiet time at night this is not the room for you! It is above the encore theater and there is no padding whatsoever! They offered to move us but we needed two rooms beside each other and they ...

Just FAIR on everything

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

We have cruised a lot and I must say Celebrity did not put their best foot forward. Cabin Steward was great, room good but after that FAIR is the best I can say. Although the Cruise Director Thanks everyone for Their energy in every other sentence there was NO energy from the staff or crew. Starting with the lifeboat drill, it was long drawn out and some STUPID video of some James Bond type of ...

Plusses and Minuses

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

We choose this cruise because our adult children chose it. We would choose it again if they wanted to, but we would never choose it for ourselves. We prefer higher-end ships and cruise lines. All features of the ship were adequate. Some of the specialty restaurants were exceptionally good. The gym had great machines, but the mats and exercise balls were locked up and we couldn't use them. ...

Here is some info about me: I'm 48. Live in USA. have cruised 51 days with Carnival, 14 days with princes, and now 7 with MSC. Have cruised a lot of Caribbean, one Norway, one Alaska, and now one Mediterranean. We started and ended our cruise in Genoa. Before the cruise, I registered myself and my husband for the status match program. NOT user friendly, i must say. Make sure your ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

Ship shows outside signs of its age. A good paint job would fix this. This ship was chosen as a trip with our grandchildren and convenient, out of Texas. We did encounter issues, such as A/C and plumbing. Supervisor Staff and Diamond Concierge was helpful. We ate in dining room every night but one, waitstaff felt very inexperience but continually asked us to remember to fill out survey. (Which ...
