AVERAGE CRUISE FOR PRINCESS BARCELONA - ATHENS JUNE 2019

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Emerald Princess

We have travelled on Princess before and hold Elite status so are very familiar with the standard of service etc. Although it has been 8 years since we last cruised with Princess partly circumstances and partly better ports and itineraries from other cruise lines. Their overall standard has certainly slipped in this time I have seen reviews from other cruisers with an opinion very similar to ...

Nice quick getaway

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Norwegian Sky

This trip was intended to be a short girls weekend, free of kids and husbands. We drove from Tampa to Miami and choose to use Premier Parking. We arrived at the port around 1230pm and we through security and aboard within 15 minutes! We headed up to grab some lunch and I have to say that garden café is much smaller than I am accustom to on the bigger ships. The choices are minimal. Pool ...

Disappointed

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

We just got back from the Vancouver to Seward Cruise and were disappointed in the cruise and the land portion of the tour. The food was just okay--portions were small for seafood selections and shrimp dishes were rubbery. The cakes were dry and tasteless. We were constantly harassed by hawkers selling specialty dining. One day they were offering a Crab Dinner for 55% off but had ...

Too Many Issues

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

Full disclosure-this is about number 40 cruise for us over about 30 years of cruising. First, let me tell you all of the GOOD things about the cruise. 1. The food was universally very good. We have cruised on some of the best (and worst) and overall the food on the NCL Getaway is very good and in some restaurants just excellent. The best restaurant on-board hands down is Le Bistro. Cagney's ...

Rough start, disappointing service, great itinerary

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Crown Princess

We chose this cruise for 2 reasons: First because we had cruised with Princess in the past band were very satisfied with that experience, Second because of the itinerary. We were looking for a British Isles cruise and the fact that this itinerary included Guernsey(for me!) and LeHavre, France( Normandy D Day Beaches for my husband) had us sold. We started our cruise with an overnight in London, ...

A little disappointed

We went on this cruise with my cousins who had already booked. My father is from Scotland so I was looking forward to setting foot in the homeland so to say. Embarkation went well but the tour to Windsor Castle as part of our Disembarkation was far too rushed for the time that was allowed. Did not even get to see the village of Windsor or eat lunch as promised. Made it a very over priced ...

Just the Negative

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Celebrity Summit

This is my fifth Celebrity cruise in the last two years. Won't be going back on Summit again. The negative: Food in the OceanView Cafe for lunch and dinner was never hot and always warm. Breakfast was fine. 3 varieties of Lettuce (spinach, mixed greens, and green leaf) were not refrigerated and warm. They are just sitting in a large bowl next to the salad condiments. I like my lettuce ...

We live in CT and drove down the day before to stay at the HIE on Tonelle Ave in Jersey City. I would not recommend this hotel as it was difficult to locate and in a very industrial area. But in fairness, it was clean and our sleep quality was excellent. OVERALL We have not sailed Celebrity since 2000, although we have been on 17 cruises in total. This cruise did not live up to our fond ...

Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Celebrity Summit

User Avatar

We sailed on the Summit (about a year ago), the appearance/maintenance of the ship wasn't that good, but the crew and food preparation was excellent. Now after millions of dollars of upgrades, the ship almost looks like the Edge. We paid extra for Aqua Class, because we wanted fine dining, any time dining, and no waiting (like you have to do with Select Dining). Celebrity added additional rooms to ...

Viking Emerald was o.k. but Yangtze River is not very scenic

Review for a Asia River Cruise on Viking Emerald

User Avatar

We wished to visit China and this was river cruise was 6 days out of 15 days total. The river cruise was o.k., the dining and meals on the Viking Emerald were surprisingly good and service was good. Our standard room and bathroom were very tight, I recommend upgrading the room. The Yangtze River is not very scenic, much of the cruise time was rather bland and the facilities at several of the ...
