About me: 7 prior cruises. Full-time wheelchair user. Somewhat active, wheeling several miles on a typical day. Middle-aged.
I found the Millennium surprisingly UNaccommodating to passengers who, like me, need a wheelchair to get around:
1) My wheelchair-accessible cabin had a ramp to get out to the balcony. Great. But NO ramp on the balcony side, just a 3.5" drop, making it unusable. I had ...
Over the past 12 years we have cruised with NCL 13 different cruises. We had always wanted to visit some of the Baltic countries, especially Russia. This particular cruise covered most of our wish list. Two / three months after we booked this cruise and made our airline reservations, we were sent an email stating that do to a port scheduling conflict we would not be making the port stop in ...
The cruise went to the Baltic Sea in early September. It was my first cruise. Other cruise lines offer a similar itinerary.
Great
The ports: Tallin, St Petersburg, and Helsinki were great. I booked TJ Travel for Tallin (walking tour), and St Petersburg (all highlights tour) and the NCL walking tour for Helsinki. The guides, the sights, the culture were all fabulous and I intend to return to ...
I booked 2 rooms, first time sailing with Norwegian, as our Carnival cruise was cancelled for weather.(sailed many times just not with Norwegian). Got to port and parking lot was full, had to lug bags 2 terminals away. Our Names weren’t on main manifest which we knew due to a late booking because of our cruise cancellation, the lady on the phone said we’d be on the updated manifest. We ...
We chose this cruise because we had a discount from Royal Caribbean because the previous cruise we were on we had a flooded cabin on the Allure of the Seas. We also chose this cruise because of the size of the ship. Neither my husband nor I liked the bigger ship, Allure. We preferred the smaller ships. We also liked the time of year and the biggest reason was the ports of call. We were very ...
We just finished a disappointing Russia River Cruise with Viking and we were looking forward to a newer Long Ship, the type we have been on before. Due to low water, the ship couldn't meet us in Bucharest, so we had a long bus ride to get to the ship. When we arrived, we found out that they had a generator breakdown and installed a temporary one on the top of the ship. Yes, you guessed it, ...
We chose this cruise from vacations to go for a last minute trip. The price was really great and the destination was northeast and Canada. Embarking was super but the room was disappointing. Not for location, but for cleanliness. The rug in the room was old, stained and dirty. We did not bring slippers because we called princess earlier and the rep said all we had to do was ask. Well that proved ...
We have been on over 60 cruises on at least 8 cruise lines. This is the first time when checking in, you do not produce a credit card for validation. When you get on board there is a machine to validate your Debit/Credit Card. You put in you ships card which was issued when you checked in. You then enter your card. Whichever one you use, they deduct 250Euros from this card. When the cruise ...
Sailed Sept 4-11, 2019 Norwegian Epic.
Firstly, this was only our 2nd cruise. The first was on the Celebrity Silhouette. If it wasn't for that cruise, we would think that Norwegian was pretty good. But Celebrity blows Norwegian out of the water!
There were SO MANY stupid little annoying things on Norwegian that added up. When you are on vacation, you don't want to be irritated by things ...
We boarded in Hong Kong on 3rd September, we have been loyal to Royal and Voyager is our favourite ship. On boarding it became immediately obvious that something was seriously wrong. The ship was majorly understaffed and we soon discovered that this was due to Voyager going in for a refit immediately we disembarked!. We had booked the cruise as part of a package with a China Tour included and ...
