Having cruised with Norwegian before and hailing from Wisconsin, the beverage package and destinations were a big draw. After reading the reviews on the Epic (like I do before I go anywhere on vacation) I was pleasantly surprised. All I had read about was the crowded conditions and long waits for the elevators as well as the poor food selection. Our group of 3 couples never ran into any of those ...
This is my second NCL cruise, and like the first one embarkation & disembarkation was the smoothest of all the cruises I’ve been on. (Been on Carnival and Royal Caribbean, 15 cruises in total) This ship never really felt crowed, except a few times in the Garden Cafe - When people are breathing down you back to get an extra piece of bacon (I’m positive they didn’t run out of bacon).
I thought ...
Just returned home from this 7-day western Caribbean itinerary on Norwegian Pearl. It was just my boyfriend and I (both in our early-mid 30s). I have previously been on 2 Princess cruises, on Norwegian Escape twice and the Dawn last year. My boyfriend has also been on the Epic.
Used NCL arranged airfare and transfers and flew into Miami from Maine on day of the cruise. This is the first time I ...
We traveled on the Carnival Glory March 1-8, 2020. We flew in the night before and used Uber to get to the port in the morning. We got to the port at around 11:30, dropped off our luggage and it took about an hour before we made it inside and through security for boarding. We went up to the Lido Deck for a Guys Burger and a drink before heading to our room to drop off our carry on luggage. ...
I chose NCL and the Epic for their southern Caribbean itenerary. This was my first cruise and I was worried about the size of the ship and the reviews of the bathroom layout.
First of all, for a 4000+ person cruise there were only a few times where I felt that crowds were an issue. That was normally at the buffet when we weren't in port. I scheduled dinners away from the buffet each night which ...
Our cruise started with a fairly easy embarkation process. Our ship, the Regal Princess, was one of many in port. After we maneuvered through the arrival area, we found our long line to board the ship. We had decided, after our first-time cruisers research, to not leave our bags with the porters to be delivered late to our stateroom. Many travelers reported instances of extremely long waiting ...
Me my wife and 20yo son decided on doing a family cruise. Our son is on spring break from UF and he wanted to do a cruise for his break, and it's been 5 years since our last cruise. We chose this cruise because we live 30 minutes from the port of Tampa.
Embarkation: We arrived at the port around 10:30am. We parked the car in the parking garage across the street and carried our bags over.We ...
I wanted to write a quick little review for any parents travelling with young children. Under 2! I found this hard to find when I was reading reviews prior to cruising.
My first piece of advice is to travel with family. We made the mistake of not bringing our parents and we wished every day that we would have. I think our trip would have been waaay more relaxing if we had done this.
We ...
We went on this cruise because we couldn't pass up a great deal. This was our first time in an Aqua Class stateroom. We have done a concierge class once and other times we choose veranda rooms. It was nice having the slightly larger shower, the slippers, 3 Celebrity bags and expanded room service. We had breakfast delivered once and enjoyed it on our veranda, but the food was meh. We never visited ...
This was the first time we had a two week break as we had just retired. As we booked late we only had the choice of two rooms we ended up with room A333 with an adjoining door.
We have done other cruises with luxury liners so i was full of apprehension but we wanted to do a full transit of Panama. The room was adequate bed really comfy. Extremely clean. Plenty of hanging space.Fridge for our ...
