This review isn't so much about the ship. More about the way Royal Caribbean went about showing how little they care about their British customers.
We found out a few days before leaving that this trip was going to be cut short by 3 days, supposedly because of bad weather. A strange excuse because when you book a cruise, you are told that these ships are so large that they can handle any ...
sorry to say the service and food at the main dining room was very very poor
the daily activities seemed for nursery tots. The music and singers around the ship were made for nursing home entertainment. They sang and played the same things all through the crossing.
Now to say that the royal caribbean dancers and orchestra were very good as always.Their shows were very good.
The movie ...
We chose the specific cruise for Santorini and Mykonos. These ports were cancelled due to ship mechanical failure. We also didn't get to stop in Bar, Montenegro - - not sure why. I understand mechanical difficulties. But I don't understand corporate greed who did not refund any of the cruise payments. We got $200 per cabin, on board credit. . . what an insult. Everything is already marked up ...
Diamond Plus with Royal - positive in the past. The food was inconsistent, the ship is tired and should be refurbished in 2020 instead of 2021. The entertainment was hit and miss. Company cannot accomodate all the Crown & Anchor guests - they designed the progam they should be able to handle the results. We had just gotten off the Norwegian Joy 3 days prior and it was fantastic. The ship is ...
We went into this cruise with high expectations. We are Norwegian Platinum members and are no strangers to cruising, having also cruised on Princess, MSC, and Royal Caribbean. Norwegian has been, to now, our go-to cruise line. We thought we were booking a Greek Isles cruise, but what we got was a cruise of the Dalmatian Coast.
As the reader may have already discovered from other reviews, the ...
I heard Escape is a good ship so went on it. Very bad don't go on Escape take some other ship or cruise line. Food is bad I am not picky, still had trouble to find what to eat. Ate cause had to eat s.t. tasteless food, over cooked. Basically every day same menu omelet, chicken, pork, pastries mostly terrible. Tried other dining options same thing over cooked, salty and I am not picky one but ...
This was to be partners wonderful 70th birthday cruise culminating in Santorini, sadly, not to be. :/
Despite some pre-cruise issues, our taxi delivered us to Venice Cruise terminal without incident. We got in line and a nice Australian lady and her mother turned to us and said, 'Have you heard about the itinerary change? we hadn't and knew nothing of it, until we were literally in the line to ...
We chose this cruise for the Itinerary. We have done 38 cruises with many different cruise lines but this was our first with P&O. From reading boards before hand I was lead to believe this was a slightly up market cruise, better than celebrity and Princess but more traditional like Cunard. Having been on many of these lines I thought I knew what to expect.
Embarkation was good very smooth ...
To start off with I want to clarify the rating of 2. It is not a reflection on the staff (except maybe the Captain), the food or the general boat, though there are some small gripes about that.
We, and a lot of the guests, booked this cruise because they wanted to go to Kotor and Santorini. There was an unexplained problem with the boat and so they cancelled Santorini and Kotor. This meant we ...
We chose this cruise specifically to visit the ports of Santorini & Mykonos. NCL advised us that they had cancelled three of the six advertised ports when we arrived at the port of embarkation , including the two signature ports. We were also disappointed that the cruise as advertised did not have any sea days, whilst in practise, two of the seven days were spent at sea due to the ships ...
