We gave sailed on NCL over a dozen times and found on the Breakaway that standards have fallen and you now get less for your money.

Service nearly everywhere was very good to outstanding. The waiters we had in the MDR worked very well to get our table of 4 were very well taken care of and consistently out in about an hour and 15 minutes. Received a great price from Carnival from the VIFPP program...an oceanview suite with Cheers package and lots of added perks. In all, Carnival would have paid for us to get on! Even had transfers to and from the cruise port via SUV compliments of Carnival! Usually I do not write reviews, but after reading some of the negative reviews on this site I decided it would be best.
1st off please remember this is a mid size ship and not one of the largest/newer and HIGHER PRICED SHIPS in the Royal Fleet. My wife and I (ages 48 and 50) went on a 4 night cruise with the drink package for under $3K including our flight.

Let me start by saying staff are FABULOUS however the rooms are very shabby, like a poor quality 3* hotel at best. They are kept as clean as possible by the staff but the carpets are grubby and stained, the sofa also stained and grubby from age not a lack of attention from staff.

This is the absolute worst cruise I have ever been on. The crew is absolutely rude, every member I have been unfortunate to run into. The ship is old and dusty, extremely gross staterooms.
