This review is for the Carnival Liberty, 4-night cruise round trip from Cape Canaveral Florida.
I have also made specific comments for cabin #6295.
Note that this is an older ship so I will break out my comments into pros and cons.
The PROS:
The Liberty Rock Band plays great "danceable" music.
Pizza Pirate makes the best pizza!
Guy's burgers are awesome!
The barbeque (upstairs ...
Overall good experience. They worked hard to keep rooms and ship clean and sanitized. There was always plenty of activities at sea on ship.
Drinks/alcohol expensive so make sure you purchase in your package with NCL direct.
Bermuda seemed like a beautiful island even though weather was not greatest.
Check out Royal Navy Dockyard, Hamilton, St. George. Eat at Sizzle ...
Booked this cruise because the date worked for us.Started with RC losing our bus transfer. Sat at airport for 2 hours waiting for the bus once they figured it out. Had no idea how big this boat was. Room 14708. Terrible! Under the basketball court. Thump all Day. Worst bed We've ever slept in. Rock hard, like sleeping in a hole. Room was beautiful. Room steward Hernaldo was exceptional! Great ...
We chose the Carnival Legend from Baltimore to Bermuda because it was only a 2 hour drive from NJ, the dates worked well for us, and we did not want to fly to a cruise port as we did previously. This is our 3rd time cruising on Carnival (we have also cruised Royal) and this ship would rank 3rd if we ranked all 3 Carnival ships we have been on.
I guess the theme here is "lowered expectations". ...
Been on Allure before and loved the ship! Specifically chose this cruise since over husband’s birthday. Port checkin was a disaster. All computers went down just as processing began with first agent. No one knew what to do. Finally was escorted to the desk agent and she was clueless. Another circulated saying to write down passenger name and cabin number. Then let them board. We walked on while ...
Chosen to take grand children on a holiday, originally intended to be 2 years ago but deferred because of Covid. Although Disney Magic is the oldest in the fleet, she is an elegant well appointed ship of a comfortable size, there were 2100 guests on board for this sailing, neatly full.
Firstly the gripes: Disney’s chosen health partner Prenetics need to up their game and improve the website. ...
We returned to Alaska on Princess because our friends are frequent cruisers on Princess. Alaska is still a great place to cruise even though most of the ports have become McCommercialized with diamond stores and the like. The excursions are a great way to see the sights and we have no criticism there. The staff on the ship was usually top notch and jumping to provide quick and efficient ...
We do wish there was more competition from San Francisco. The weather in Alaska was just appalling except for Sitka. Sitka now has a dock 5 miles out of town. A FREE bus is supposed to run every 15 mins but it is hopeless, disorganized queue jumping, free for all elbow jabbing contest. Expect to queue for hours waiting to return to ship. If there is more than 1 ship in town the guests from both ...
The two of us would not normally chose to book on a Carnival ship line because of their nickel and dime business model. But their transatlantic service is a Cunard specialty and, if you have the time, cruising is at least as plush as a business class flight and at about the same price. We’d recommend it for that reason alone.
We were in a Britannia Club cabin meaning we ate in the Britannia ...
Okay, first things first - the very worst embarkation experience in 40 years of cruising. Brooklyn's Red Hook terminal is small, over-crowds easily, and was understaffed. We stood on line for two solid hours. Horrible.
Regarding my title, please leave behind any ideas of 21st century cruising. Cunard is firmly rooted in a prior age - and that is good and bad - depending on expectations. ...
