23 years ago my husband helped to build Aurora in Papenburg, Germany. He talked sometimes of maybe having a short cruise on her for nostalgic reasons. Haven't been on a cruise in over 20 years. Left Ft. Lauderdale on Monday, 11/27/23. 10 minutes from terminal to 4th deck bar (no joke it was THAT quick). Liberty of the Seas is a delightful ship with so much to enjoy especially on a 3 or 4 night itinerary. The Sky is an old ship. We knew this but NCL claimed their upgrade in 2022 was great. Not.
Pros: Crew, all great, esp. 'Yogi' the butler and 'Huberth', concierge. Layout of the cabin (not the location, aft penthouse suite- above the show theater. Production shows were spectacular, all of them. Cagney's steakhouse was superb.

They did not disappoint. Great service , sparkly rooms ,lots of activities, fabulous food and free laundry.

Whilst some aspects of the haven experience were worthwhile many aspects were not. Balcony in a poor state of repair and dirty Sofa bed which is required if you book a suite for 4 was dirty and not fit for purpose.
No alternative available .
Facilities for 2 only despite paying for 3 this included life jackets! 2 cups shower gel ect only in main bathroom.

The entertainment was good with a variety. Not lot of options for the mid aged crowd unless you wanted to go to the sky club at 11p.
