Wonderful Cruise on a Beautiful Ship

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Sylvia Earle

After lots of research, my partner and I chose Aurora Expeditions because: 1) ships are small, meaning that there is greater opportunity for off-ship exploration, given the 100-passenger on-shore limit that applies to Antarctic landing sites, 2) ships are X-Bow with effective stabilisers, meaning that the crossing of the Drake Passage is likely to be relatively smooth, 3) it's an Australian ...

Great adventure!

Review for a South America Cruise on Celebrity Flora

We selected Celebrity Flora for this once in a lifetime cruise and we were glad we did. Simply amazing trip. Food, service, educational briefings, and wildlife viewing were spectacular. One or two points for those heading to the Galapagos on Flora. We had a difficult time packing and knowing what to bring. We wore hiking boots and were happy we did. On some islands they were the right choice ...

This was my first trip with Lindblad, but it will not be my last. It was an incredible experience. Both the destination and the ship. The Expedition Staff and Naturalists were very well experienced in their fields and gave amazing talks every day. In the morning they would tell you what you will see and then give a wrap-up of the day’s activities in the evening. The coolest thing is that the ...

Simply the Best!

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on National Geographic Endurance

We chose Lindblad / National Geographic for our expedition to Antarctica because we hoped that that unique partnership would produce a uniquely good experience. We were not disappointed. Far from it, the trip exceeded our expectations in all respects. The naturalists on board helped the guests to appreciate more deeply what they saw and experienced. It was also apparent that everyone treated this ...

Amazing First Time Cruise Experience

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Viking Octantis

First Time Cruiser • Age 20s

This was my first ever cruise and I really didn’t know what to expect, but Viking has left me with some really high expectations for any future cruises I take. The staff were incredible. I have never seen such a positive and on top of it staff anywhere before this. The traveling to and from the ship was very well organized and (as an anxious traveler) I really appreciated how smooth the ...

Absolutely amazing experience from the moment we set sail, the Viking team goes above and beyond to ensure each guest gets the most out of the experience. They have their process optimized to a T for shore landings, kayak excursions, and powerboat tours. And top it off with the chance to go 500 feet down in their state of the art submarines! Fantastic food, incredibly attentive staff and enriching ...

Fantastic experience. Amazing places, with hundreds of thousands of penguins and seals in South Georgia Island (a must) and Antarctica, with hundreds of whales along the away, among others. Top notch crew with non-stop options for science and history explorations. Wonderful people who love what they do. Very good food with tons of choices. Very nice boat with great first class cabins. Stunning Trip of a Lifetime!

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on National Geographic Resolution

Antarctica is a stunning, incredible place, and the Resolution is an amazing ship. It is able to get you to places you absolutely cannot go with other cruise lines. We left Ushuaia in front of a bad storm, and the Resolution raced through the Drake Passage and stayed ahead of the storm, saving many passengers a lot of discomfort. Since there was bad weather in the Weddell Sea, the decision was ...

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Viking Polaris

A number of factors came together to make this the perfect time for us to take this awesome adventure. We did research on the different companies that offer an Antarctic cruise and Viking was the ideal mix of comfort (Cruise the world in comfort!) and adventure - the ability to land on Antarctica in multiple locations. This cruise delivered this and a whole lot more. Viking was offering free ...
