My wife, son and I booked this cruise to celebrate my 50th birthday and traveled in suites 702/704. We are frequent Silversea cruisers and we actually hit our 100th day during this voyage.
All I can say is that Silversea is still a top-notch luxury cruise vacation. I know many people may not be happy as a tropical storm forced us to miss 4 of the ports (Madeleine Islands, Portland, Boston, ...
We chose this cruise because is was rated so well and was a smaller cruise ship. With that we expected more individualized service. We did not find the service or the food to be remarkable in any way. The better meals were at the restaurants that you had to pay extra to dine at. I am a vegetarian and basically survived on French Fries, Salad, and pizza for two weeks. They were not able to ...
We had a fabulous experience in virtually every way two years ago on the Silver Wind so we were really looking forward to another cruise with Silversea. We chose this trip because of it's itinerary, but little did we expect that the excursions would be led by such poor guides and leaving us with a very unsatisfied feeling about the cost vs value received . Realistically, the rest of the cruise ...
Very GOOD
It istill very nice ship and really one of the best if you want to go for the first time.
The service is more impresive than a regular cruice line.
The inforamtion thay give us for the ports is really full.
The rooms are very goog ones.
The bar or halls areas are nice and allway you have a spot to seat.
Nice people in the best maners to have a fun and know different ...
This was our fifth cruise with Silversea and our second on The Shadow. We chose a Malaysia/Philippines itinerary which generally was very good. However some towns were 30 to 45 minutes ride from the port with not much of interest when we got there.
The biggest disappointment was the food. I had to send several main meals back as being either raw or under cooked. At other times the food was ...
Cruise was chosen for itinerary and experience with this line. Overall, a new, contemporary ship beautifully done with generous size cabins, public areas. The service through all departments was virtually flawless. There are eight evening restaurants on board, two of which are additional cost, two outside. We don't think extra cost restaurants are appropriate at this "all inclusive" level. The ...

Fort Lauderdale to Santiago aboard Silver Muse
Silver Suite #1007
Having sailed on Silversea many times before, we booked to go on this voyage on the Silver Muse a year ago. We deliberately avoided going soon after its maiden voyage in Apr 17. Surely, all the gremlins would be fixed by Oct 17?
In Apr 17 we started to monitor the reviews on Cruise Critic. They seemed ...
We wanted to learn more about South America. Specific highlights that attracted us were zip lining in Costa Rica, Panama canal transit, a visit to Machu Picchu and a visit to the Falkland Islands. Our trip started in Fort Lauderdale and ended in Buenos Aires Argentina.
We had sailed with SilverSea on one other voyage to Alaska. I was quite pleasantly surprised by the experience since I do not ...
New ship; opportunity to traverse Panama Canal. Love there decor of there Muse along with the spacious Silver Suite cabin. Dining choices were interesting with no problem in obtaining seating in venue of choice. Land tours were much the same as in previous cruises: some wonderful, others not so. Need to better study options.
Can't say enough of the Muse. Brings Silversea to another level, ...
We wanted to experience the all new Silver Muse, somewhat disturbed by previous reviews about the dining arrangements. We don’t even begin to understand some of those reviews. The 8 different dining options are simply great and we did ALWAYS get a table in the restaurant we wanted on any given night. The choice of differnt restaurants far exceeds a frequently changing menu in a main restaurant on ...
