Dhow Cruise to Oman Fjords: Arguably one of the best ways to see the famous fjords that flank Khasab is with a cruise on the famous Omani dhow boats. These long wooden boats, which are wooden-hulled and used to typically transport heavier items, are still employed as merchandising vessels. However, many have been converted into small passenger ships, giving guests an authentic window into what it's like to sail through Oman. These cruises take you through the scattered collection of fjords and inside Musandam, which is Oman's longest and most spectacular fjord. The contrast of the bright turquoise waters with the white limestone cliffs create a beautiful picture as you sail alongside dolphin pods. The half-day tours take you past small fishing villages and toward Telegraph Island, which is famous for where the British laid the first telegraph cable in the late 1860s.
