We went to the Mary Kings Close tour and explored the Royal Mile. Public bus 35 got us to the Royal Mile faster than the ship’s shuttle bus.

Walked the Royal mile and had the chance to shop and grab a bite. It is upward walk on uneven ground and be advised wear good walking shoes and be in pretty good health.

Good weather for a change and just in time for a lot of walking... Tour guide was a hoot. Scottish woman with engaging personality with many stories of area history, all ending in horrible deaths...

Very interesting and lovely walking down the royal mile. It might have been a little more then a mile. The castle was lovely at the end and you did have time to shop then.
