The cruise line indicates that you need to be in "peak physical condition". I am 59 and softer than I used to be and had a great time. Just a lovely day in Aruba riding down to the coast - not too demanding - I hadn't ridden in 7 years. If you are an avid rider this probably will be too tame for you - but it was perfect for me! It was fun for us. Not for the horse. But if you have never been to Aruba you can see it pretty well.

Rode through the desert on a horse by the name of Martini. We rode to the sea. Beautiful beach! Then we rode back thru the desert to the ranch. Great ride!

In Aruba we went horseback riding for a couple of hours with Rancho Notorious. We were the only guests on this group tour. It was a good trail ride in an area of the island that is a desert (I guess the entire island really is) and looks like it could be in the southwestern US. We rode through this park (LARGE park) and down to the ocean, but not really on a beach, though the views were great, the ocean here was VERY rough. We did get a chance to trot and even gallop on the horses on a few sandy stretches. The trip included transfers to and from the ship, but we had them drop us off at the Marriott as we wanted to see it. We were going to have lunch, but thought it was ridiculous to pay nearly $20 for a roll-up. We took a taxi back to town, and between downpours (in this desert!) walked around the shops, and found a place to eat to the side of the marina in a "market" area. Read Less

The cleanliness of the horses and barns was a nice surprise. We had a great ride along the beach in the National Park despite a brief rain squall that soaked all.
