If you don't book an excursion, the port stop in Zeebrugge is ridiculous. You have to pay 14 euro each to take a bus to Blankenberge. While Blankenberge was quaint, it was not what you want to do for a full day unless you're into lying on the beach. You can take the train to Bruges for 6 euro, which is 10 minutes, but by then it's starting to add up to as much as the excursion with the cruise line. This was a bad decision on our part not to have booked Bruges or Ghent. Read Less
