Da Nang Imperial Hue Excursion Reviews

Da Nang Imperial Hue cruise excursion
Overall Rating
Hue is approximately 3.5 hours by bus from Da Nang. Visit Thien Mu Pagoda and tour the Palace of Supreme Harmony, which has been restored to its full original grandeur. The Forbidden Purple City was reserved for the private life of the Emperors, where 13 of them ruled from Hue between 1802 and 1945.

We used HPE to visit Hue while we ported at Chan May, Vietnam. Our guide was knowledgeable and we had an interesting day visiting a Buddhist temple and the old Imperial City. We enjoyed a quiet and tasty lunch at a French-Vietnamese restaurant. We can recommend Peter and his team for an enjoyable and informative introduction to Vietnam.

Bus to Hoi An was interesting, seeing the paddy fields and duck farms. We went to a Pagoda with three huge Buddhas, stopped at a silk workshop which was excellent and very cheap, walked around Hoi An, which we loved, had lunch and then stopped at the Marble Mountain, which you could climb by the stairs or ascend in the lift, and a marble workshop, and 'China' beach (where the US series called China Beach was filmed).

Too hot and humid. Not a place i would like to visit again. Very ancient place and thus a bit morbid. I had eaten pho and bum here and bother are delicious, but i would prefer pho. The noodles are inexplicably thin and light. However, the weather is not something that i would brave again.

8 hour tour but 4+ hours of that was in a bus. Areas we toured were very good and interesting. Just felt the boat docking area was again too far from touring area.
