After donning our rain pants, life jackets and rain jackets, we were instructed on how to use our sea cycles. We spent the next 90 minutes sea cycling around the cove and the estuary. We learned about the history of the area, we saw several starfish and some jellyfish. We also saw several bald eagles. Having had knee surgery 18 months ago, I was a little worried about the pedaling I would have to do. I didn't have any problems. We would cycle to a certain point to make observations and to learn about the area. We stopped frequently, so fatigue was not a problem. The scenery was beautiful. Our sea cycle was equipped with a radio which enabled us to hear everything our guide was saying. It could also be used to ask questions, if needed. After cycling, we did have a dockside picnic with interesting jellies made from spruce tips and other plants. It was delicious. We then had the opportunity to see a couple of bald eagles who feed in the area.
