Tulisa the guide was informative, amusing and brilliant...The garden visit was excellent but we didn't visit the nursery gardens . Next was a Creole sauce (50%) rum demonstration with lunch which was good but previously it was in a local house and was better

Rode into countryside up a mountain to a historic chocolate plantation. Saw all the steps in preparing the beans and participated in making some chocolates. Great guides and experience.

We went to an outdoor cooking class in the hills of Dominica. What a joy. The hosts were great a a lot of it was hands on. Also very educational about spices used in the islands. I hardily recommend this excursion

This was our favorite of the week. Welcomed into home with a very large outdoor kitchen. Covered and the grounds were beautiful. Daria got us all involved and we had fun learning about their island, spices and cuisine. After we prepared the meal we all sat down and ate. The food was excellent rum too. Lots of humor - good for men and women; and after a it the kids seemed to enjoy it too! Got yo interact with fellow guests. Small store with local culinary items for sale! On drive to/from you see a lot of their beautiful island.

We have been on 19 cruises and this was the best trip we have ever been on. Firstly we visited a local's home and were shown round their garden. They explained all about their produce which they grow. Then off to a private estate where we watched a Creolle cooking demonstration. We then sat on the balcony of one of the private villas and ate a meal of tuna in a sauce, rice, salad, plantain and then cheesecake. The owner played the steel drums while we ate. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves even though the roads are terrible - very winding with lots of potholes.
