Interesting but many of the displays were in Spanish which I cannot read.

Interesting but many of the displays were in Spanish which I cannot read. This is right across from where the ship docks so it would be easy to just visit this site on your own.

The cliff divers were interesting but couldn't see them enter there water because of the crowd.

The cliff divers were interesting but couldn't see them enter there water because of the crowd. Fort San Diego was a pleasant surprise. Probably the best of the Acapulco tours.

We chose the ACAS1011: Highlights, Shopping, and La Quebrada Cliff Divers, a 5 hour excursion. This actually was the most impressive part of today's excursion. Javier, our local guide, provided lively narrative filled with past and present information about his Acapulco. The group on our bus then went our own ways: we were dropped off with Javier to explore Museo Historico de Acapulco at Fuerte de San Diego. This is a must for history buffs. The 16th century fort, in the shape of a perfect pentagram now serves to detail Acapulco's lineage from its earliest Indian inhabitants to the nation's independence from Spain in 1821. The fort and its various themed rooms depicting the area's history is magnificently maintained. Lastly, it it withih a 5-10 leisurely walk back to the cruise terminal. Don't miss out on this wonderful picture of Acapulco's stories past. Read Less
