Aruba Snuba Diving Excursion Reviews

Snuba diving is the safest and easiest way to explore Aruba's clear tropical waters, extensive coral reefs, and incredible sea life.
Possibly one of the best excursions we have done.
Sail Date: February 2019
Possibly one of the best excursions we have done. De Palm Island is amazing. My only complaint would be that we needed more time post-dive. There wasn't even time to look at and purchase one of the photos.

The excursion was a great and very fun experience.
Sail Date: March 2018
The excursion was a great and very fun experience. We wished we had as much time on DePalm island where the excursion was as our companions who booked independently.

Taken by bus and ferry to De Palm island, where we got instructions and helmet dive and free time on their resort. Since we arrived around 10 and had to attend instructions at 11 and do helmet dive at 12:15 and then grab the included lunch and be ready to leave at 1:30, it did not give us much time to enjoy the beach and snorkeling and other amenities on the island Read Less

We booked this excursion through Carnival and it was a fabulous excursion. It was through Depalm tours Island snorkel and sea trek dive. First of all this was exciting seeing underwater sea life but at time was a little scary. I had two times that I slightly panicked. First when I first went down my water shoe got caught on the Steele platform .so make sure your water shoes are secured. When you are walking down the ladder every two steps blow out reaching under your Helmut pinching your nose closed.to pop your ears open, Second I walked too fast on the bottom causing some water to enter my Helmut a little. stop don't look up push down on your helmet, the air will force the water out of your helmet, Walk slowly. Coral World SNUBA. Nine people signed up for this SNUBA excursion but only five showed up on the pier. We took a 20+ minute van ride to Coral World and were given very personal instruction and attention regarding SNUBA. Todd & Glen (instructor/guides) took us out in two groups: one group of two and another of three including me. There were a variety of fish, coral and other critters to see and our guides pointed some of the smaller ones that could have been easily missed. After about 30-40 minutes, the SNUBA part ended but we were advised to enjoy the rest of the complex which included a shark tank, a stingray tank, an aviary, a “hands on” petting tank and of course the gift shop. If you like snorkeling and want to try something a bit more adventurous but safe, you may want to consider this experience. Everyone in the group enjoyed it and I would recommend it for sure. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! The experience in itself was GREAT! They give you all of the instructions...You feel like you are walking on the moon! Took about 20minutes. We werent allowed to use our own underwater cameras because the company said they'd take pictures for us. We had our camera too. After all the underwater smiling and beautiful fish swimming in our faces we went to purchase our pictures at a reasonable $39. THEY FORGOT TO PUT FILM IN THE CAMERA!!! UGH. We didnt have time to dive again and I was a little whoozie from it, but we didnt get any compensation for it at all. Very disappointing. The lagoon was very refreshing. The water park there looked just like the one on our ship too. Good time overall. They do have SMALL lockers you can pay for to put your personal items in it. Hot day...didnt need a towel to dry off. It rained while we were under the water too. We found that out after we came back up. Oh yeah and you take a Ferry across to the island. It is worth tipping the guys a buck or two. Read Less

This Sea-Trek was far superior to a helmet dive we had taken on another island. We were treated as individuals rather than as a group so everyone that went down got to see everything up close and personal. We got to pet a parrotfish and a couple other exotic sea life (no more spoilers) and also learn about the different animals through a very humorous sign language display. Example: if something was poisonous, the diver would pretend to touch the object then jump back holding his hand with a worried look on his face and shake his hand in discomfort and pointing to the surface. Once the dive was over, we got to spend the rest of the day on their private island to enjoy the water park, snorkeling reef and buffet with open bar. The people were friendly and willing to point you in the right direction. We were also told by a local that if you want to suntan, do so before 11 AM in 15 minute increments so your body can adjust to tan then get used to the temperature in the shade. Turns out that even applying a sunblock at SPF 80+ is still like leaving your skin alone with no lotion - so apply FREQUENTLY! Read Less
