We have visited New Zealand many times and each time discover another gem. This cruise it was Pencarrow Station, with views across Cook Strait to the South Island and back to Wellington; the scenery alone would gladden the hearts of the most jaded of travellers. We had a lovely driver who explained to us what we were seeing. It was bucketing down with rain when we arrived but we were quickly ushered inside to a warm room with coffee and lots of lovely goodies to eat. The tour lasted about 5 hours. it was well worth it. The title was City sites, ship wreck coats inc Pencarrow station. We had a great bus driver who was very knowledgable and obviously loved his job. the owners of Pencarrow were very hospitable, the tour inc tea, coffee, light lunch. We were dropped off in town and told it upon ourselves to go up the cable car to the observatory & tea house. Great way to see a lot of Wellington in a day. Read Less
