Hamilton Snorkeling Excursion Reviews

Hamilton Snorkeling cruise excursion
Overall Rating
Bermuda has the distinction of having the northernmost coral reefs in the world. Over millions of years, these coral reefs have formed from the waters edge to out over 15 miles from shore.

We actually visited St george not Hamilton but we did a sailing and snorkelling trip. The snorkelling was terrible but the sailing was great and we loved Bermuda!

The tour guides were very knowledgeable and the snorkeling by shipwrecks was a great experience. However, the main tour guide kept going on and on about Rum Swizzle drinks and was drinking during the tour.

RISING SON II CATAMARAN SAIL & SNORKEL - • Highly recommend the Rising Son Catamaran excursion. Captain “Squid” and his crew, “Bubbles” & “Elmo” were fun, laid back, informative, and seemed to truly enjoy what they do. The excursion was more than just snorkeling, offering something for everyone – swimming into & exploring caves, stand-up-paddle boarding, sea kayaking, cliff jumping (off a 25 foot cliff!), or just relaxing on the catamaran or one of two beautiful secluded little beaches we were anchored off of. I loved that Captain Squid checked with me to ensure it was OK for my son to back flip off cliff (rather than just say no due to liability). He also chatted with my son about form & technique (as Squid also did flips off the cliff), which my son appreciated.

We did a private charter with Hat Trick, a sail boat, with Capt. Keith and his wife Gwen. It was amazing and we would highly recommend it. We did it in the morning of our first day. The weather was overcast with some light rain but it did not take away from being a great experience.

Had to come back to ship after 45 minutes on the beach because of gale force winds. Did receive a full refund from the cruise line. It was no ones fault, just the weather.

Kayaking and snorkeling was a welcome respite from the cigarette smoke on the ship. The staff of the catamaran that took us to a beautiful cove was young, funny and competent. The aqua-marine water stretched all the way to the horizon, and was breathtaking.

Although the captain and crew were nice and entertaining, the experience was less than par. The water was cloudy, there was very little reef and even less fish and quite little to look at. In comparison to a similar trip in Bahamas, this snorkeling was a big let down! Then you figure the fees were $80/per person, and it just wasn't worth it.
