Great day out with a fine guide.
Sail Date: October 2018
Great day out with a fine guide. Sadly Krka Falls are another must see and the crowds reflect that, even in October. Again plenty of toilet stops. Food stalls and shopping at the Falls a bit disappointing but the scenery is amazing.

This was our favorite excursion on the whole cruise.

This was our favorite excursion on the whole cruise. It poured rain on us the whole time but the park itself was beautiful. Take the long way down to the bottom as the walk is quite enjoyable!

We took a bus ride for an hour to Krka and our guide pointed out some points of interest along the way. The park was beautiful. We walked along boardwalks through the forest until we came to the falls. There were some spots with a series of steps down, but most of it was flat getting to the falls. At the end, there are a lot of steps to get back up to the parking area. I did hear some people complaining that they could not handle the steps though, so that might be something to consider if you have mobility concerns. The falls themselves were very beautiful and we enjoyed taking a dip. We should have changed into our swim suits at the beginning because the restrooms at the top are free, but the ones by the falls charge a fee. Most of the souvenir and food shops by the falls only take Kona, so be prepared with the proper currency. Read Less

Rained almost the entire day, and the falls were no longer falls, but rushing torrents of water that jumped the banks almost everywhere. Still, it was something to see even like that.

should be a must for everyone. There is quite a bit of walking involved but not as difficult as the guide made it sound. There are stairs but you have enough time to make the circle on the tour. The ac in the bus made for a comfortable 1hr drive out to Krka. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area and gave great insight into the things we passed along the way. Once there we walked through the park for about 45 minutes along a boarded path and arrived at Skradinski Buk falls. We swam in the pool at the basin of the falls for about 30 minutes and then grabbed a bite at the outdoor restaurant about 50 yards away. Once finished we headed back up the 150 stairs to the bus. The tour ended up only being about 4 hours which was perfect as we had time to explore the town of Split and the marina boardwalk before walking the 300 yards back to the ship. Read Less

It's about one and a quarter hours on the bus but I enjoyed the scenery along the way. The Park is lovely with a small museum and then a 4 km boardwalk which passed over streams, fish, plants, and lots of small and larger waterfalls. You can swim there if you want. Many people, especially school kids, were. After the tour we went into Split on our own with only just over an hour to see what we could on our own. Definitely a place we'd like to go back to. We took a ship excursion to Krka National Park to see the waterfalls. As with other Celebrity excursion, our time was really rushed. (My theory is they don't want to have the tours go over the lunch hour because then they would have to include lunch.) I had researched other ways to get to Krka though, and the ship excursion seemed to be our best option so we are glad we went. The park is absolutely gorgeous and worth the trip. I even got into the water to go swimming, but be warned: the water is full of large rocks and it is rather difficult to get in and out of the water. Read Less
