Curacao Aquarium Excursion Reviews

Curacao Aquarium cruise excursion
Overall Rating
Curacao's well-known aquarium allows you to experience all of the island's unique species while still on a dry land. This is a good option for families with kids enthralled by sea life.

My wife is a biology teacher so we always have to do the shore excursions that involve animals. We did the Sea Lion encounter at the Aquariun and it was great. They limit it to a maximum of 6 people so there was plenty of one on one time to learn and interact with the animals. A great experience and well worth the money.

I booked a dolphin experience directly with the Sea Aquarium Dolphin Academy. When I was looking to book, there wasn't a class late enough in the day to accommodate our time in port. I emailed the academy, and they created a class just for our late arrival. The trainers and dolphins were fabulous. Our daughter loved it. Got lots of great pictures. Awesome place! Mambo beach is within walking distance also.

Do the dolphin swim! They treat the dolphins much better than other similar operations, even letting them out into true OPEN WATER on occasion, and letting them have the choice to come back! We enjoyed the rest of the day at a spectacular beach just outside!

What a pretty island-I was somewhat pressurised by the tours operators on the ship to do the Dolphin swim, but as I had done on in the past am glad I held out my ground to do the observation only at £25 it was very affordable ,do not be told you will not see or hear anything-I got the best photos and was up close and personal –you also could walk around the rest on the sea life centre and also access the Mambo beach, which was stunning-as get transported there and back-well worth doing.

We took a cab from the port to the Seaquarium. The cab was $20 each way. Admission into the Seaquarium was $53 for 2 adults and 1 child. I really felt like we wasted our money. They have a set schedule for the dolphin shows, sting ray feeding, seal shows, etc... and we were well past the time where we could wait around for these shows to start and spend a few hours at the beach afterwards. Realizing that we would have to wait until after 1:00 to see the dolphin show, we walked around the aquarium area, watched the dolphins swim, watched the seal show, and then headed next door to Mambo beach. We entered on the part of the beach on Lion's Beach Resort property. The attendant told us we could stay there if we paid the $3.50 beach admission and an $8.50 fee to rent each lounge chair. We could look down and see how crowded the rest of the beach was so we stayed there. We had a great time enjoying the water and lounging around before heading back to the ship.

CURACAO: This was my second time there and it was beautiful. The floating bridge is a must see. We didnt dock until 2pm so we were limited on what we could do. Most of the businesses (except bars and restaurants) close up at 5 or 6pm. We took a taxi from the port the the SEA Aquarium $20 for all three of us one way and $21 adult/$11 child admission. So for all three of us it was about $100 total and a GREAT value compared to what Carnival charges. The aquarium was AWESOME. Not crowded and we got to feed sharks, turtles, stingrays. There is also a sea lion and dolphin show that were very good. There was a tour with great guides that educated us on the wild life. Lots of hands on fun. HIGHLY Recommend this!
They also offer swimming with the dolphins at different price levels. Will do that next time. On the way back to the port, we walked across the floating bridge and then took the free ferry back. There are shops close to the bridge if you get there before 6. Great day, not a big expense.

This excursion takes you to De Palm island to the Seaquarium on Cabana Beach. We really enjoyed this. Lots of loungers with shade, the water was mostly all sand and clear. Changing rooms, bar and restaurant. One free soda was included. Manmade breakwater makes it calm and the snorkelling is very, very good.

Absolutely a terrible excursion. Princess should not support this in their materials. The animals, fish, sharks, etc are in horrible conditions with small tanks, some having NO rocks or structures to hid within. Just nasty and overpriced. The ferry over to the bus/taxi area is TERRIBLE!!! Just packed in like animals - no one counts to see if there are too many. Just sickening.

Booked the Sea Aquarium through the cruise line. We took a pre paid taxi that dropped us off at the aquarium. The description when we booked did not seem to match what we got. There was no formal, informative tour. Instead there were a couple dozen aquariums with different fish in them, one with sea turtles and a pen with flamingos in it. We enjoyed the dolphin and sea lion show but in between them we were actually really bored. Our aquarium in Minnesota was actually quite a bit more impressive so we felt like our money was wasted here. There were quite a few cute shops back by the port to shop for souvenirs.
