This was a wonderful and scenic tour. There is a brief walk through the old town right on the water to get to the bus. The 15 minute ride to the monastery was beautiful and provided great views of the ship and port. The little village where the monastery is located is so quaint, with a lovely square surrounded by restaurants and shops. Would have loved to spend more time having a leisurely lunch, but the mezze we were offered at one of the restaurants was tasty and a nice opportunity to sit and enjoy the square. The monastery is beautiful and adorned with so many pictures and carvings it is hard to take it all in, but worth the visit. After the monastery visit we drove to two separate little villages and had just enough time to put our feet in the cool Mediterranean sea. Then it was back to the old town with plenty of time to do a little shopping before taking the quick boat ride back to the ship.
