Sirena cruise to Spain, Portugal and Bordeaux

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Sirena

Chose this cruise because my husband is of Spanish heritage. Disappointed with shore excursions with a number of them cancelled for OE tours. Tours were repetitive in Spain. One terrific tour in Portugal on 4x4 jeep. Best tour of trip. Did not go to two ports due to choppy seas. Cancelled tour to St Malo for Mt St Michelle which was highlight of cruise. Wine tasting tour was terrible at a Chateau. ...

Overall disappointing and overpriced. Will not sail Silversea again. Pros: Attentive Butler Good Food 24 hour room service Cons: Ship is 28 years old. Really old ship (maiden voyage 1994), should be retired Overpriced for what you get No entertainment or planned on-board activities = bored most of the time TV and movies not available most of the time Very few dining ...

Many problems with this ship and cruise line.

April 29th 2022 Adventure of the Seas was my first cruise on RCI (my husband has sailed on RCI before). One port- Panama-was cancelled so we were told that we could stay in another port later (Cartagena Columbia till 10pm). The service in the main dining room was excellent. The seating next to the buffet where dishes/dirty dishes and meal prep was not so nice. It was noted that the window seat ...

What Has Happened to Oceania?

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Sirena

Let me begin by stating that this was our 10th cruise with Oceania. My comments are our opinion and based on personal experience on the December 21, 2019 Sunny Holidays Cruise on Oceania Sirena. Oceania is not what it used to be. We observed and experienced a large discrepancy in the food from previous sailings. Chilean Sea Bass, Caviar, Almond Croissants and high levels of meat were a given ...

A ship in decline...sadly

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Riviera

We have cruised on this ship several times pre the NCL takeover and without doubt NCL have damaged Riviera's reputation perhaps forever. Staff numbers have been cut and service levels can be poor as staff struggle to cope. Reductions of recipe ingredient costs and along with it quality has had a damming effect on food standards...meat even the bread is simply on occasion not what you would ...

Repairs galore

This ship is falling apart at the seams and the owners don’t care about what passengers have to endure on board. Departure was delayed by 5 hours waiting for staff. My room had not been cleaned or set up. The deck was unfinished and unpainted. The front desk staff was ill equipped to handle all the passengers issues as they embarked. As a solo traveler my problems were not directly ...

Larger Ship was OK but they need to work on Solo Program

I've done three cruises with Oceania before this one and had pretty good times - in those instances there seemed to be some fun folks interested in mingling with the solo travelers and the smaller ships were more cozy and open to mixing people - there were always plenty of shared tables and lots of inclusion. For some reason, this cruise had a different vibe - perhaps because it was the time and ...

Terrible!!!

The food in the main dining room was never hot and disappointing. Definitely not up to the standards we expected from a cruise line that is supposedly known for its food. Salmon which is a Pepin specialty was cool and tasteless. Paying $800 for concierge compared to a B2 was a rip off. There is no concierge lounge so therefore we paid $800 for a bottle of champagne and free laundry which took 4 ...

Transatlantic

We choose this cruise for the ports. Unfortunately due to the seas we missed St. John’s and Dublin. Weather cannot be helped and everyone’s safety is most important. That is the risk whenever you cruise, you may not get to all the ports. I had cruised Oceania before years ago. The difference today, entertainment was horrible, especially doing a transatlantic you are waiting for it. You can ...

Very poor treatment of solo travelers.

This is my second cruise, aboard the same ship Riviera. However it was my first time as a solo traveler. The ship itself and everything included in it was wonderful! However, the service was very poor. As a solo traveler, I was virtually ignored when it came to service. So badly so, that after the first two reservations in the specialty restaurants, I cancelled my future reservations since I did ...
